I used to love chess, don't have the patience for it any more.

Computer games have made me impatient with human decision making speeds and more complex strategy games have made me intollerant of the limitations of an 8 by 8 grid.


I understand the writing. I write compulsively. Can't help it.

Chris claimed that he didn't know Phoo Ming and his pants combusted. He was doused with a bucket of water which solved the fire problem, but I am not sure about his difficulty with veracity. The present concern is that his pants may combust again when there is no one to douse him with water.

It was warm here today, low seventies. It is in the mid to high nineties in the desert. Are we sure it is February?

I can play chess, but I am not a good strategist. My sister loves complex strategy games with rule books that have tons of pages. My brother loves those Avalon Hill games with the gazillion tiny little squares that represent armies and take days to play. As far as I know, he has been playing them alone since he was a little kid, no one else in the family had any interest in games that take days to play with rules we couldn't figure out. I like games that are shorter: chinese checkers, Facts in Five, rummy. Games with simple rules that have an end in sight.
