The Chinal Pearl Inn part 8

WOOTS WOOTS for BOOTS!

He solved it:D.

5 points!

Yay!:D:D

SIX points

My first attempt kinda works, a blind man walking into a tree laden with overripe plums, the vibration of his walking into the tree makes the tree drop all the plums thus leaving no plums on ze tree!!

 :D

he grins at her, "Wouldn't want anyone to take advantage of you."

hugging uggg and kissing his forehead.

"How are you BT?" he asks over Uggg's shoulder.

She turned back to Glad and shrugged. “All is well, in love and war,” she called from her position in front of the seat she claimed earlier. She looked down at it and pondered, her bag remained hastily packed up, the crochet needle dangling from the yarn.

Opens the door to the inn and strides through slowly. The weather had been much like his mood; chaotic. First, it had been a sweltering day, which is why he was sporting a black tank top which revealed the thick, more pallid trapezius muscles which were dusted with freckles. They were not nearly as sun-kissed as his arms. The smell of a fresh rain followed him inside. His emerald eyes were shaded as he glanced around. He gave everyone a slight wave, tipped an imaginary hat.

"Evening folks."

She turned as he made his presence known, biting her lip.

"Evening, FD," she called.

A small wave, she turned back to her things, trying to fold them nearly into the bag, instead of allowing it to look like a rats nest. Once she completed the task, she zipped it up and placed it beside her chair, slightly under the side table, and glanced back at the wine bottle, half full. More pondering. She silently climbed back into her chair, tucking her legs beneath her, and glanced around, her cheeks rosy, the alcohol was slowly taking affect.

Ya but my riddle clearly says he saw plums, your answer didn't address that.

-2 points for questioning the umpire (Yes riddles get umpires! Just like other sport!)

Turning to BT he smiled and the storm clouds in his eyes parted. He made his way over to her and as he moved closer he observed the situation with a raised brow.

"Working on getting smashed are we?"

"Working on getting smashed are we?"

”No,” she pouted. “It would take more than one bottle, anyway. I have a stupid high tolerance, unfortunately…”

As her sentence faded a mischievous smile crept across her lips. “Although, if I did I could probably get out of tomorrow…”

She gestured an offer toward the chair beside her.

"Sit and chat a spell? How's your day been?"

Laughs softly. Leaning over to give her a warm squeeze

"If only, eh?"

He took the offered seat and settled in with a wince.

"Not much to talk about. Had to tackle some yard work, then a freak thunderstorm rolled in. "

She smiled and shrugged. "Worth a try? No... probably not..."

She watched as he sat and winced, an instinctual gut reaction forced her to lean forward and reach out for him. Paired with his words, she understood, and sat back again.

"I wish it would have blown a little further west... It was horrendous today, we needed rain to cool it off, but no... it just looked like it was going to have the bottom fall out for all of an hour and vanished..."

He saw her reaction. He hadn't intended to talk about it, but he knew now that explaining would be better than hiding it because he had done a shit job of hiding it.

"Fibro is screaming right now, and my back is spasming where my L5 is bulging."

He nodded in response

"I got heat lightning the first time around, then a really sudden hard, 20 minute thunderstorm that just dumped down."

YAY!

Will visit those threads first.

Hubby is... still needing a gallbladder surgery, but oversexed and highly active at the moment, thanks. :D

What did you think of my opening for our SRP Dolly? Is it what you had in mind? Will it fit what you want to do with your character?

Uggg:rose:

Heh.

Uggg - was SUPERB and I cannot WAIT to respond! Pins and needles, as they say... It'll be wonderful!

Boots... 100% switch.... remember? ;)

Hope his naieve boldness is working for you :)

It's perfect- innocent enough to be hot and bold enough not to be too reluctant. :D

If we write this right we can really give it a feel of wonderful first exploration and discovery.

Yea, It's getting good, thanks for humoring my desire to have one that gets to the action quickly. Most of my SRPs are slow build ups so it is nice to have something a bit different.

She didn’t quite understand what he said, medical terms were often lost on her, but she nodded. She at least understood pain, her father was debilitated by it.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered. “Is there anything that can be done alleviate it? Or is it just… a wait it out sort of situation?”

With the mentioning of a sudden weather shift, a small smile came over her face; it wasn’t because of the rain ruining his otherwise productive day—she just loved storms. There was something so powerful and raw about them that, every chance she could, she would intentionally stand out in them, or sat beside an open door to hear the rage outside. Realizing she was smiling at an awkward time, she raised her hand to cover her lips.

“Did you manage to finish the yard work, or was that spoiled by the rain?”

Hey there, folks!

Who's still up?

"Hello there!"

Smiles lightly "The fibro is just nerve pain. Sleep and medication should deal with that. So I am going to be turning in very shortly. The back spasms are because of the 2 vertebrae right above my tailbone are bulging. That basically means the liquid sack that acts as a cushion to keep your spine from grinding bone on bone is damaged and out of shape, putting pressure on the nerves around it. Heat, ice, and massage would help, but like I said I'm crashing in like 10 so it will calm down hopefully. I have to work tomorrow. Can't stay up all night. Sleep deprivation is something that aggravates fibromyalgia."
