I've heard this more than once, and you're right, it's sad, but I do understand it. Sometimes we (both men and women ) just aren't really in the mood to perform, so "short and sweet" is the order of the day.

Also, depending on the dysfunction level of the individuals involved, faking is a means of control, just as faining headaches or PMS, or a host of other things to avoid having sex. I speak from past experience with control freaks, and it's not a fun thing to endure.

I can honestly say that, for one, I agree with you (bold part), and that, when a man knows what to do, he can extend this feeling by approaching me in a subtle way.
