Zero new cases in my state today. First time in months. This won't be the end of it, but it's a major milestone.
 
Our HR head has lost 9 family members to the virus. Aunts, uncles, cousins.
 
Cases are rising fairly rapidly in my small area. I know several that have had it and several that have lost people from it. So far I haven't lost anyone from it but I'm afraid it's only a matter of time.

I'm definitely doing what I can right now. The hard thing right now is that we're moving into flu, cold, etc season and some people have had it that thought they just had a bad cold or a sinus infection.

Thanks Cookie. Yea. And the barrel we are looking down this winter has no light I can see.

This is exactly the problem right now. We have to treat every little cough, sniffle, sore throat, gi distress as if it might be covid. Because it well might be. I an looking forward to the day when we get quad tests (one swab tests for Flu A Flu B Strep and Covid)

Please... everyone stay safe. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. Watch your distance and take care with who you share your air with. I myself will have not be joining family or friends to gather for the holidays. I think I'm going to order an advent calendar for my dog. 25 days of dog treats. It'll be a small way to be goofy for Christmas. Lol

I voted today. I felt sick to my stomach thinking about the people that just do not care about those around them. Everyone was on good behavior, but it still felt hostile.

It's one year. The covid year. Just suck it up, sit it out and resume normal programming next year.

I am due to give birth the week of Thanksgiving which in itself presents a challenge. I'm going to need someone to care for my kiddo whilst I'm laboring and birthing and it's hard to ask someone to skip Thanksgiving so that I am better protected during a really vulnerable time in my life.

Fun, fun.

That quad test would be incredible. I feel like with as many sinus infections as I usually get, I'd need to be tested every week at least just so I can make sure I'm not spreading something contagious.

I was going to vote Nov 3 but I'm going to go Saturday. Our little community should be pretty good.

But I feel so off kilter. The world feels awful. Maybe just the US. Ugh.
