One that comes up in the context of sports is "resign" as "rezign" and as "re-sign". It can be quite confusing when you want to know what your team's coach is doing.

I don't know about "bail-LAY", nobody I ever heard says the first syllable like "bail." More like the first syllable of "balance." "Bal-LAY."

And reCREate? Never heard this one either. The two pronounciations of "recreate" to me are
"re-cre-ATE" (two long E sounds, second of three syllables unstressed)
versus
"rec-re-ATE" (only one long E sound, second of three syllables unstressed.
