The infamous LW anonymous comments controversy

Not a surprise

But suddenly my few higher rated stories dropped, and of my very few "h" stories, two dropped. One from 4.54 to 4.44 and the other from 4.53 to 4.49. Although the one that dropped the most didn't have that many votes to start with. And the other has been slowly dropping month by month for some time. Neither was in the LW category!

It could be coincidence. I suppose when I've been posting for a longer time and gotten more stories under my belt I'll look back and laugh, but right now I'm suffering from fragile ego syndrome. That and I haven't been enthused by any of the other stories I'm working on right now.

When one (or more) of the Haters wants to 1-bomb you, they go and 1-bomb everything you've written. It's happened to me many a time.

The worst was when I removed an offensive comment... the bozo then made another comment complaining about me removing the first comment, followed by personal attacks and personal threats when I removed the complaint. I finally sent a report notice about it and while the attacks stopped, the 1-bombs began... it was clear the Hater gathered others and went on a 1-bomb attack spree on ALL of my stories.

Just part of what one should come to expect when posting to LW. Amazingly enough, my last posting to LW was reasonably well received...

to delete some ridiculous comments. I've been watching them come in, and gave a lot of thought to this.

I have no issues if someone doesn't think I did a good job on a story or has some constructive criticism. Those things add value and can actually help me to become a better writer.

But please...don't go to the beach and then bitch and moan about having sand between your toes. You all know what you'll find in LW. Why do you act surprised and offended? This one was tame. I can only imagine the comments on a story that pushes the envelope.

One other thing...no one is getting an STD or ending up pregnant in this story. Why? Because I am God here. I created the characters. I made up the story. It IS a story, people. Make believe. In fact, I can have my characters bend over and shoot rainbows out of their asses if I want them to. Fantasy, you know? That's the point here.

I think they try to scare people off from LW with the one bombs. It isn't my category of choice to write in all the time, but I won't be scared off of it either.

I am fairly certain that comment will lead to more nastiness and bombs. You're better off not challenging them.

Or if you want to irk them do what I do and piss them off with a story, not a public comment.

That's a great idea. And it gave me a little comfort, but not the way I would have thought.

The Commenters/trolls/whatever are there, just like sand on a beach. They'll always be there. So I shouldn't complain about getting dumbass comments when I post in LW, any more than I should complain about sand between my toes at a beach.

Except that I probably will still whine about the comments, just as I whined about the sand in my flip-flops when I was a kid.

U would think I just ran over their gramma. And you are all right it has to be cause they have been cheated on and hate all women. Cause if you write about your wife with another woman well they just love it. Except for the lone guy that lost his wife to another woman. As far as anon they can take a flying leap cuase they are the ones with no balls and do not own up to their comments.

Being a new member and contributor, I fell victim to the Anonymous keyboard warriors commenting on a story I published. Within one day, all hell broke loose, including comment makers trolling each other!

Having now read a few more forum threads on the subject, I realise there is some emotive issue regarding "Loving Wives" and my somewhat loose use of the word "Cuckold" in the story description. Seems the subject of "Loving Wives" is a magnet for all the big man/small penis types who stalk this site anonymously...

Thankfully, I discovered I can switch off comments from these idiots. I don't mind negative feedback if it is constructive, especially from fellow contributors.

I guess that I figure fellow contributors appreciate the time and effort it takes to compose and submit a story, regardless of the subject matter and background to the story itself. It seems that Anonymous doesn't!

As I may have mentioned earlier (TL;DR) I took the opposite tack, by disabling voting but leaving comments alone. Some of the nastiest are also the funniest. I received 50 comments in a couple days for UNDER HIS EYES got before protests had it removed -- far more comments than any other of my stories. The #2 place is held by its slight rewrite, RIGHT UNDER HIS EYES. For all my 30+ submissions, I've only deleted one comment, because it was just WRONG -- and now I wish I'd left it in place. The comments don't bother me. Fuck'em.

I have other LW stories in the pipeline that I hope and expect will really piss off the fucktards. Yeah, I'll throw raw meat to the hyenas. They're fun to watch.

A few years back I posted a story in LW based on a suggestion from the story ideas thread. Doing it for You - I never thought it was an especially good story, but I was still pretty new to the site and the comments spun my head around. In the original story, a wife steps in during a porn shot and becomes the object of a gang-bang.

Ultimately, I was inspired to write a reply with - Doing It for You, Ch 02 where the couple deals with the aftermath of porn shoot.

IDK, they are two of my lowest scoring stories, but the first remains my most commented story and my story with the highest numbers of favorites.

The overflow attacks from LW haters kills me, though.

If you see a story - yours or anothers - that has suspicious-looking voting patterns, please do use the REPORT THIS STORY feature to bring it to our attention and we will run a manual check as well. In the OTHER field, tell us to check the voting. When you report suspicious voting this way, the system will send us a direct link to the story and make it much easier for us to check.

If you have more than one story that you believe has been one-bombed by the same person, please only report ONE of the stories. We will research from there.

There is an entire subclass of people on this planet who almost seem to exist for the sole purpose of spreading toxicity on the internet.
