Hug for Grace :rose:, soup for Seela :rose:, and a Woot Woot for CM :D!

~

I think I must be ready for fall because I am craving baked cinnamon and pumpkin and have an itch to make a spiced apple cobbler and then slowly enjoy it hot and melting creamed a la mode whilst snuggled into a fireside lumping of blankets and pillows.

Sigh.

Oh no, no congratulating stuff yet.

15 minute job fair interview #1
30 minute (same day) interview #2
60 minute (next evening) interview #3
90 minute (same evening) interview #4

Interview #5 is Saturday, before work, and the AGM [90 minute interview] I spoke with said he wanted to put me through 3-4 more people before we would be ready to seriously talk about an offer.

But still, in the last 2 months of selective job hunting I've done, I've made it to second interviews with 4 companies, I'm waiting on call-backs for third interviews with two companies, and this week I've made it through 5 interviews with the latest company... I just have to figure out if I know enough to excel at the position.

I have a hunch this one is in the bag. ;)

Depending on your whereabouts, this might be too late for Interview #5 but still beaming you lots of luck!

My grandma's memorial/burial was today. It went really well. Grandma had bought a spot in what amounts to my family cemetery (I'm related to about 75 percent of the people in the cemetery) right next to her parents and brother (who died in WWII), which I find very comforting. Not only is her spirit with them, but so is her body. I was in charge of food for the memorial, and everyone was very complimentary about it. My aunt C said 'when your mom said we should let you do the food, I thought that would be too much for one person, but I'm really impressed!'. I only took the girls, but they were wonderfully behaved. One of the pictures they had out of my grandma was the one with me and K at our wedding. Plus, I got to see my second cousin B, who I almost never get to see cause her parents don't get along real well with our part of the family.

My great niece is continuing to do well. My best friend and her hubby did split up, but have decided to try and work it out (not gonna work, but i understand them needing to try). My heartchild's mom found out she has MRSA and ended up having surgery, but she got to go home today.

I am seriously going to go out of my fucking mind over the next three weeks. My mother is here. She is basically a five-year-old. Whatever you think it is like to take care of a five year old, that is what it is like to take care of my mother. Okay, she can pick out her own clothes every day. But seriously, she cannot do anything without help. She cannot even figure out the most basic things. She wants me to treat her "like a friend" while she's here, but mom, my friends do not need complete care like you do. They are independent adults.

And besides, they would be the one sleeping on the air mattress, and I would have my own damn bed. :(

Three weeks! You have my sympathies, Etoile.

My mom visited me only for four days AND stayed in a hotel. That alone was enough for my head to explode big time. She, too, was more like a five-year-old than an adult, making me pick her meals and everything. I mean, come on, I wouldn't have minded telling her what's what on the menu so that she can make her own decision. But instead she wanted me to choose something for her, and most days my choice was wrong. Just plain wrong.

So yeah, three weeks would have been hellish.

Well, it's much too expensive for her to stay in a hotel in Tokyo. And when I mentioned the possibility of finding one, she whined "but I don't wanna stay in a hotel all alone in a big scary city!" I am not even kidding.

AND she is staying in my tiny apartment. It is 20 sq meters which is about 215 sq ft. I am currently sitting on the floor with my computer doing my work, in a good bit of pain, while she lounges on my bed. (I think she may be nodding off, hard to tell.) This place is just too small for the both of us.

I'm going to go insane, I really am. We have a trip to Kyoto and Hiroshima planned for next week, but one of us may be dead by then.

Yeah, three weeks is a long time to stay in a hotel, the price really adds up even in a cheaper place.

I hope you two'll find some balance. We don't want to see you end up in jail in Japan. Who'd be our mod then??

You'd have KC! And there are lots of posters on here who would make great mods. We have an awesome community. :)

I might stay in a hotel some night. Just to get away, LOL. I need quiet time alone, and I'm not going to have that for a very long time. There's a place right down the street from my work, I wonder how much their rooms are...it would be great to go there after work and just relax for a bit, LOL. I might end up at internet cafes too, just to have private time! The only person I can be with 24/7 and not go insane is my wife. :)

Hey Etoile & Seela....I can feel your pain. Just imagine these same sort of details, but now your mother lives with you! And your sig. other lives in the apartment upstairs!

It seems like I spend all of my free time (not much!) running up & down the stairs trying to cater to both of them!
I really need a weekend to myself, too!

hugs to you both! :rose:

first psych exam, I got a 100%

of course there was a possible 110% but I'm happy enough.

If I average 90% I won't have to take the final. :D
And she drops the lowest out of 5 before the average. :D
