Rayne walks into the lodge and spots Trixa, crossing over to her little sister she wraps her up in a big hug and then squeezes tight and smiles at her. "Sorry I needed that, how are you today Hun?"

After some work to get the damn door open she enters, deciding to talk to Ezra about a Really big kitty door, or perhaps one that doesnt latch...or a pull down handle, for those that have no opposable thumbs at times to use.

Padding to the matress he brought for me I think about the spot I was honored enough to get a peek at today, happy for my friends to have a place to play, to learn each other

Yawning a a big cat yawn I lie on my bed and curl up, soon being half upside down, paws curled, chin pointed toward the sky, eyes closed and content

* passing through for a moment to check on the lodge I see her sprawled on the pad,I smile so like a kitten at this moment, I am unable to resist, softly barely audible I whisper..*

it is me Mistress..

*then I gently brush my hands across her amazingly soft Tummy fur, but just once as I have to go ,but unable to resist. touching her. then as quietly as possible I leave for the RW.

I fly into the lodge and rush into My Rose's arms almost knocking him over I am so happy I have caught him.....


I see my sleeping Mistress and my happiness is complete........

a twitch of an ear and a content purr marks the passage of them, but she slumbers on, living up to the reputation that cats sleep like 20 hours a day or something

It is several hours later that she opens those blue, blue eyes and looks around, then sits up, twitching her fur into a better spot as she yawns once more

Shifting then, as the air quits shimmering a little and hunting down a cup of coffee


Sorry to have missed you both today, I had domestic duties that have crept up behind me and grabbed on with both hands. I fear i will be gone most of the day.

I quietly walk into the lodge after a long day, trying to hold on till the weekend, just one more day to go. I see the majestic kitty has gone back to sleep and place her coffee cup in the sink before I fix myself a sweet tea and stretch out on the couch just enjoying the peace of this place.

wakes up slowly realizing that I had fallen asleep on the couch for the night. take the blanket and wrap it around my shoulders as I make my way to the coffee.

 

[Rayne_Clowd]

At the base of the mountain Rayne looked up towards the lodge and doubted she could even make the climb, visions of her lost in the wilderness, collapsing half way up and having a heart attack or being taken down by a landslide flicked through her mind. She was not in a good head-space right now and it all seemed too much.......

Ezra's purpose for the lodge came back to her, She knew the climb being part of the release, the comfort you find within the stone lodge at the peak, well that was the soothing of your soul once you exposed it on the way up. Taking deep breaths and walking slowly this was the time to think clearly, be surrounded by natural beauty and let it ease your concern, stress, pain or erratic emotions...this was a place to heal.

Taking a deep breath she placed one foot in front of the other and began to walk, at first it took all her concentration just to move her feet one after the other. It was hard she felt lost, and each breath was a struggle. Like she had an elephant sitting on her chest. But very soon the majestic mountain began to work its magic and as she took each breath the fresh cool air began to sooth her soul and she felt she could breath again.

Her mind swirled and she was deep in thought, soon her body acted on auto pilot and she was lost in her thoughts trying to work through all that had happened and find her hopes for the future....She didn't know how long she walked or climbed but the lodge came into view. Approaching the stone lodge she paused for a moment at the door her hand over the handle.

Turning it she walked in, it didn't seem like anyone was about which was fine the peace and quiet would be enough for now, sitting by the fire she curled her knees up to her chest and just watched the flames dance .....her mind continuing to process all that has happened.

spinning through seein Rayne lost in thought, I notice she seems at odds with her normal self and I pause to say a word or even three

Rayne, we seem to be as two ships passing through the night, never enough time on either ones plate to do more than nod, but I see you seem to be troubled by something and passed through to offer condolances, congratulations, a shoulder , a hug, or a kick in the ass, whatever is deemed most appropriate grins

Rayne turns her head from away from the fire place and looks at Lt, she tries to smile in greeting but its a weakened one, hearing her words she shrugs and shakes her head lost, words failing her right now.

She blinks and swallows trying to hold back the emotions and in a small voice whispers "Thank you Lt, I just need to search myself I think....I can't really explain, but thank you for being concerned and for the offer." she sighs and looks back to the flames "hopefully the lodge will just sooth me enough to find myself again" hugging her legs she places her chin on her knees and just watches the flames dance and flicker.

Rayne looks to Lt again and nods, She appreciates the kindness but her heart is aching right now, she feels sliced to ribbons with a double edge sword.

Her pain from what happened to cause her distress and her pain for knowing how her pain is hurting others that she cares for deeply......and that overwhelming feeling of being lost and not knowing how to process it all or what to do about it. She feels like she is in a dark hole and just free falling........but what will catch her at the bottom?

"Thank you again Lt, it really is very kind of you" she smiles a little meaning it.

She looks up dazed at first, is he there or is it something she imagined that her heart conjured ....she reached for him and as soon as her hand touched his arm and she felt that it truly was him , Her body took over, she folded into his arms falling from the chair and into him, tears falling freely as she buries her head in his shoulder.
