The Lounge!!

For those of you who like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Try to find White Company and Sir Nigel. If you find a old copy of White Company take note that there is no sir in his name.

xD

I've meant to read some of his older stuff, I'll put that on my reading list (which is immense by this point, I should really get a move on with it)!

Great. The light's gone off in this room. Sitting all alone in the dark, watching American Horror Story before bed. Brilliant.

Good luck finding them they are not in print and have not been for some time... As far as I know.

Tongue in bearded cheek, no less.

I just finished the end of Game of Thrones season 1. I forgot how epic it is!

...I also forgot to change the colour of my wool, now my grey block is huge and I despair at the thought of unravelling it!!

SO EPIC!

I sympathise entirely =( In the midst of my Hannibal anger and shock I let loose yet more stitches (and it took me forever to recover it from yesterday). This scarf is taking waaay too fucking long. *knitting angst*

Actually. He says in his best prim voice. Its not on the cheeks and chops right now. And I'll have to get rid of it in two weeks.

I haven't gotten in to Game Of Thrones, or Vikings, anything new really in some time. But if I'm lucky I'll be back on my forge late spring early summer... If that's medieval enough for you.

I . . . confess I kind of got fired ('mutual dismission') a couple of weeks ago, so while I hated every second and will be glad to get the fuck out, I'm back in the not-so-desirable world of unemployment. But my friend quit this week too, so we just plan to drink our sorrows away.

Ooooh you must tell us when you do post! I haven't written any for Lit yet, though I've started about six. I'm sort of doing Camp NaNoWriMo this month, so ideally I'm trying to write a novella, or just a series of short stories as that's all my short attention span allows for xP

As for Shetland, I did watch some of this season (haven't watched the first. I know, missed all two episodes), looks pretty good! Reminds me a bit of Broadchurch.

Unemployment is our natural state. No-one would mind being unemployed if only the money were better. Were our hunter-gatherer ancestors 'employed'?

But yes, drinking away one's sorrows has a long and noble history. Happy oblivion!

As I say, I'll have to get some permissions and so on, and I've one more section to write, but when I do post you'll be the first to know. My 'real' novel is almost finished, bar the epilogue and some severe editing (well over 130,000 words at the moment), but if that's published anywhere it won't be Literotica...Very best of luck with your own writing and, likewise, let me know when it's up.

Depends - I'm pretty shallow. Are you in HD? Because if not, steelwork tends to lose me well before the tempering.

waves at a fellow Camp NaNo writer

I'm at Camp too, my first time but it's going well so far. Good luck with yours!

First time in camp, Britwitch? Doesn't that mean it's your turn to make breakfast?

Eggs Benedict and smoked salmon, if I may. (Surely on Literotica it's glamping all the way?)

More than likely!

winks

Good job I like cooking! Although at camp, if I'm in charge of the kitchen, it'd likely be bacon rolls and good old mugs of tea.

Whatever she bloody well likes.

*hugs back tightly*

I hope you're well :rose:

smiles happily

I'm not bad at all, thanks, and all the better for seeing you!

And my favourite Fish?

kisses his cheek while choosing not to end the hug yet

*stays in your hug willingly*

A bit all over the shop unfortunately.

But, as you would say, all the better for seeing you.

Oh dear...

sighs and adds some extra warmth to her hug

...I wish I could help things settle down but my wishes will have to be sufficient for now. Do let me know if there's anything at all I can do though, handsome. Please.

a kiss to a Fishy face

Just keep being you, that's a good start.

And your challenge thread...I should think of something for that. You go to so much work and I read it whenever I'm on so I guess I'm due for a contribution.

Thank you, Brit

*accepts your kiss thankfully and hugs you with a kiss back of my own*

Take care :rose:

I think I can do that.

winks mischievously

But only because it's you. And I know we'd all love to read something from you. I do love that you read and enjoy what gets shared in there every month, it's fun to organise and great to see new and old faces taking part.

Will hope inspiration strikes and that some time finds you so you can join in too.

Take care of you too, please.

wanders into the lounge, eyes a little smudged from forgetting to take off eyeliner

God what an awful night's sleep. Sitting up until 4am to finish a scarf was a bad plan, and getting three hours sleep was an even worse one.

makes tea, strong tea, with sugar and everything

I think it's going to take a lot more than caffeine to get me through today.

Ah, builder's tea! Nothing like it on a raw day, when Morpheus has been AWOL again.

I was going to watch the Boat Race or the Grand National, but if you'd rather keep the noise down I could just put some Bach on the wind-up gramophone?

How is the scarf looking?
