Pops in on her way to bed to sneak a small slice of birthday cake, grinning at hearing one of her favourite holidays being discussed
"Oooh, Hallowe'en!" A giggle and a nibble of the divine cake Serps organised. "Is it wrong I'm already planning this year's Lounge Hallowe'en party?" She blinks in thought before grinning wolfishly. "Ah well, right or wrong...I am!"
I'm very familiar with FMA. The Brotherhood run was preferable to the original series but I enjoyed both.
Well, seems a fair trade to me. Your fiancé is there if I'm not mistaken? That means a different kind of dress up is imminent as well, right? Of the white with a veil and train variety?
turns around a little too sharply and the world takes a minute to right itself
Hello! Yea, it's my favourite holiday. Favourite time of the year, too. I love Autumn. I can't wait to see what you do this year. Last year was fantastic.
Haha, white veil and train is definitely not my style, when that day comes. I'm not very traditional in that sense. I also preferred Brotherhood, it followed the original manga religiously.
glances down into her glass
As to the dress up, I'd be a bad fiancé if I didn't indulge him. It will be his birthday, after all.
Brit pauses on her way to the pool just long enough to deposit a towel and her bag on a lounger, along with a tall glass of iced water upon a table, and then dives straight into the blue water.
She swims, slowly and leisurely up and down it's length several times before swimming to the edge and pulling herself up and out of the water.
Dripping across the decking she uses the towel to chaff some water from her short hair before laying the towel out and then sitting herself on top of it. Leaning back with the sun shining down on her already tanned skin she lets out a long and contented sigh.
Mac walks in stiffly, that 6.5k run yesterday has taken it's toll.
Throwing a towel on a lounger he stretches out, letting the sun warm his aching muscles.
She wanders out on the deck, sad that it's the last few days of summer, but glad that it's bringing her into the favourite time of the year. Sitting down on a sun lounger in a little pink sundress, she lies back to soak up a few rays before work kidnaps her again.
The rain leaves pockmarks on the surface of the pool as Mac dives in. The air is still warm and humid, with the promise of a hot weekend to come as summer departs with a last Hurrah!
He hadn’t had much opportunity to use the pool this year, maybe he would find more time next year, but he had made some friends this season and he hoped they would keep each other entertained through the cooler times.
He rose out of the pool and made his way to the lounger a parasol protecting his towel and book from the tropical shower, taking the towel he dried off his arms before spreading it out to lie on. The book he lifted from the table covered Scottish myths and rituals, a bit of light research ready for some time at the keyboard in the near future.
*sneaks in before the pool party comes to a bittersweet end, sitting on the end of the pool with her legs dangling, toes tracing lazy circles in the water while noodling some overdue responses*
Thank you to each and every one of you who stopped by and made the Pool Party a success.
New friendships were made, old ones celebrated and the summer was thoroughly enjoyed.
But now, there is a chill in the air and a new location seems more suitable...all are invited to follow the path through the nearby woods to come and check out The Lounge's Autumn Escape 2015!
