Oh that's a really nice color!

I could order them online, but it would take too much planning. To me nail polish is something I just buy without giving it much thought. Which is probably why I've ended up with several almost identical colors at times.

I have a lot of similar colors and I'm all about picking up a nail polish at random. My collection is...large. I don't think I could order online just because I'm so picky and will agonize over whether or not it suits my skin tone.

I keep thinking it's time to do another sort out. Keep only the ones I REALLY love.

My polish bag is getting to heavy and my friend complained that I had a few that seemed too old. I think it's time for me to let go of some of them.

I haven't tidied the edges ,I am still letting them dry.

I have a party tomorrow and though it's not a fourth party it Is the 4th no ethelessand so as a nod, red nails with a few stars. The other hand has a lot more stars on the fourth nail but I think the two looks better. My toe nails are the same red, plain. I might glitter them? My shoes match the bag and I will wear something blue. A subtle nod, but a nod all the same.

A festive dresser you are. And pretty nails. If you do them yourself you are hella good.

Wow, those pop. I couldn't stay inside the lines when I was coloring so no way could I paint anyone's nails. And those polka dots are cool.

OMG Meek - those are so cute. I could never feel comfortable with those myself, but I love the look and would totally compliment you in the grocery aisle. I am a one color girl and only my toes.

Yes, it's a clutch, with some totally ott matching shoes...gingham bows and diamanté. Totally inelegantly hilarious. I have to be careful be cause a smigeon too much makeup any ironic giggle is lost. . I'm just going for simple eyes and red lips tomorrow.

Yes, over time they grew on me and I felt more in the mood for celebrating.

I'm a sucker for floral patterns and bows.

They make me a little uncomfortable but over time I felt better. Plus, I made a similar pattern for my friend but used stripes. Being ridiculously patriotic together was the real fun. (๑>◡<๑)

Thanks. Yeah, bobby pins work nicely. My right hand looks better than the left hand but the dots kinda make hiding mistakes easier so it worked out fine.

I guess it's normal that your right hand ends up looking better than the left. For me the left usually looks better.

I haven't done anything interesting on my nails for a long time and I just cut my nails short, too. But you have inspired me. Maybe I'll try something soon.

I hate my freakishly long and all sorts of unfortunate toes, so posting a close up pic like this is really pushing my comfort zone. But I'll try to be brave and leave this up for at least a little while.

I tried polka dots for the first time and kinda screwed them up a little, but ain't nobody gonna see my toes anyways, so it's okay. And next time I'll know better how to maneuver that bobby pin.

Funny how we often like what we don't have, I have short toes and think long toes are beautiful...I thing your s are lovely

Be very happy about not having long toes!

Long toes make shoe shopping very difficult, and it's especially obvious in summer. I don't really wear sandals and other open shoes much, because the widest part of the shoe is always in the wrong place. If I put the widest part of my foot where the widest part of the shoe is, my toes don't fit in and they spill out at the front of the shoe. If I put the shoe so that my toes fit in, the widest part of my foot kinda spills all over the place, because it's in the wrong spot and any straps going across the foot look very weird.

And don't get me started on the piece that goes between the toes on flip flops. It always sits about about half way of my big toe, then my foot slips forward and my toes once again spill out of the shoe.

At least closed shoes keep the mess contained, even if it brings other kinds of issues. I rarely have shoes that are comfortable, be them heels or flats. The toe part is never long enough. And that's one extra reason why my toes and feet always look miserable and why I hate them. Shoes 90% of the time don't fit me and they rub one part of my feet/toes or the other.

I still sometimes wear ill-fitting flipflops or sandals though, but only with a maxi skirt so that they kind of blend in with the fabric and it isn't so obvous what a mess my feet are.

For the bobby pin it's good to keep the paint from building up because the dots start getting bigger and messier if too much it on the end. I have some big dollops that I hope no one notices.

Yes, I noticed the build up and ended up with a few really messy dots. Next time I'll remove the excess before each new dip.

I hope it's ok that a guy comes in here and gawks at the pictures. I like bright shiny nails. It's not some fetish, they just look nice. I also, for some reason, like bright arty tattoos. Not the symbolic ones, the really bright intricate ones. They just look nice. I'm drawn to bright colors apparently. Like most people I guess

Well, there are other threads that are more girly related and they don't care so much for the guys posting in them. Anyway, as I say I like bright nails. I compliment women on their nails all the time. I'm especially impressed if they do them themselves.

That's not how my threads work. Men are welcomed to post on topic and men that like painting their own or others nails are also welcomed here. Pretty much anybody interested in the subject is welcomed here is what I'm saying.
