All these high heels make me cringe. I've had crap ankles since I was a kid, some congenital thingy. I had to tape and double-tape them to skate. I don't know how you all walk in those things!

Oddly, I had ankles issues all through adolescence, continuous sprains and such. It got to the point we just kept my crutches because we knew there'd be a next time soon.

High heels are just a knack, really. I can run in 3 inch heels, no problem. Don't even ask how I know that. :D

I have ankle issues too and for me heels are better than flats. The absolutely worst shoe I can wear is something with a soft, wide heel, bonus points if the heel is "rounded". Those equal constant falling down, because my ankle caves in.

I think I concentrate more on how I walk when I wear high heels and that leads to less collapsing ankles or something.

That said, I now wear heels less often than I ever have since I started wearing them.

I have no problems walking in heels of any height, it's just the heel to toe lift ratio and the amount of heel that is actually in contact with the ground that gets me :D

And then she left it all behind, scampered off toward the whispering shade trees to make love to the stars and campfire smoke.

You say that as if Choos had any social merit, unlike something useful like a Ferrari.

Your legs are better? Good to know. :rose:

My favorite is the pet with her ass in the air, too.

I'll have you know her Choos have as much social merit as your Ferrari (or my dear.god.expensive) lingerie.

You sir, lack understanding of the Choo-ness of life. ;)

Soeaking of social merit... Related, unrelated topic...

I succumbed to temptation & picked up new silk pjs which visiting one of my accounts, today. AND they were on sale. BUT(!) I resisted the $325 set that was on sale for $100. Because I'm practical and have self control and stuff.

:D

Silk IS practical, its good for the skin. a dermatologist recommended we use silk sheets. I just haven't found any we like that I can afford. And considering the animals hop up on bed with us I will not get away with low momme.( the cats sleep under the covers, but the dogs on top of a cotton quilt).

My new job is 50% travel, and I'm working on things that will keep me sane while on the road. Example - silk pjs are business travel pjs. I'm also trying my damnedest to stay in the same hotel every time I visit XYZ town. I really am a creature of habit, and the idea of staying in unfamiliar surroundings every time I go to another city, exhausts me.

So far, I know where I prefer to stay in one city; the other three are still up in the air. (I know where I won't be staying next time I'm in Atlanta. lol)

I'm gonna side with MWY....I'd much rather have a Ferrari than ugly shoes. I suspect that's a tomboy part of me that never went away.

Perhaps this is where I should point out that it was neck and neck between mentioning the Ferrari and a Cirrus SR-22T. :D

I think I DO understand the Choo-ness of life, and my little Scottish heart threatens to stop beating when I contemplate the sums some women part with merely to keep their delicate toes off the pavement.

You do realize you made that comment to a woman who owned $150 panties? Right? lol

See? Here is someone who understands. :)

Besides, I would never drive a Ferrari, whereas shoes, shoes I wear. Spoken by a woman who's still floundering int the midrange of lingerie, but has aspirations of moving up. :D

You didn't buy the $100 silk pjs? I'm not sure too much self control is good for you. Just saying....

Hmmm. Perhaps you just don't properly appreciate the delicacy of some women's toes. :i

$150? You shopping at Target now? I thought you were in the "this is only $650, but it's $1,500 off!" league lately. :p

No no no... That's how I help my clients. (Because, seriously. $1,500 off. People who have that kind of scratch to spare are doing themselves a serious disservice...)

Myself? I have to do responsible things like make mortgage and child support and car payments, before buying my lingerie.

Duh.

;)

No. I bought $200 silk pjs (for $58). I did NOT buy the $325 bra/pantie set (for $100).

Total.Self.Control.

Ooooh now there's the stuff of fantasies!

I'm an old-fashioned girl....this is nearly identical to the plane I grew up in. <sigh>

Ugh... I was planning to sleep in today but was woken by text at 7am. My friend asked what I was doing.

Me: sleeping? What are you doing?

Her: I need someone to talk and spend time.

Me: are you ok?

Spend several minutes going back and forth trying to decipher if she needs me urgently and I should be in my car right now, or if it's a tiny blip and a lunch date later would suffice.

Turns out, she just wanted to go on a last minute day trip. I'd love to go, but plans have already been made. {(-_-)}

So... I'm awake and a little jittery because the last time she texted me this early she needed genuine help (which I promptly dressed and drove to the rescue).

:sigh:
