Thanks. I really am excited about the project, I just hate this editing process.

I'll have to check that out and talk to my videographer about it. This looks to be set up differently than the other teaching sight I found. The one that I found set up live teaching sessions, either in person or over the internet. I was worried about timing and such with that. But this looks like I could break my video up and post it lesson by lesson. Great find doll.

Another possibility is udemy.

There is something wrong with the smiley list here that there is a little devil but not an angel. Its hard to tell when someone who types in a slightly odd English often, has sense of humour or not. I learnt this from my time on forums. :D

I am, shockingly still in the bed, and watching as terrier is on edge of bed. The dumb blonde cat has had a few issues where she failed to realise she had to jump a couple of inches higher now.

And no video of the dumb blonde? <pout>

Not particularly mad but not happy either. I went out over the weekend with a friend. It was a dinner with her coworkers. She always likes to have me go as her "date." It never seems to fail that there's one person that won't stop bringing up how young I look. And of course, they always say that it's a good thing.

I get it. I've heard it a lot. I'm carded constantly. You commented, I smiled politely and mention how often it occurrs, we have a laugh and move on with the conversation. Please refrain from saying I look like I'm 12 or 14. You're exaggerating and being ridiculous. You really don't have to bring it up randomly in the conversation later. You don't have to ask the waitress what she thinks.

Just drop the subject and keep your thoughts to yourself.

Overall, I had a great time with my friend and was really happy to see her.

Do you have short legs or high beds MWY?

I'm not especially tall so the right-sized bed would be relatively low. Otherwise, when a beautiful woman is supine on the bed, I would have to stand on my toes to get close enough for all practical purposes.

Well what happens if a not so beautiful woman is supine on your bed? :p

Supine! What an awesome word! I had no idea it can be used like that.

I've mostly seen it in relation to Swedish grammar and to a couple of other languages as well.

That'll be my word of the week. :)

Don't forget the verb forms!
Supinate, supinating, etc :)

And as to Elle - I do believe you have been asking questions from day one? :p

And in Swedish grammar he would already have had the woman in bed for it to be supinum, if I remember the grammar horrors correctly?:D

Yeah, the woman already hade legat in Swedish. :D

(And now I hope I didn't mix ligga and lägga once again - almost as bad as lie and lay in English!)

No, you got it right.
Huh, it never occured to me that it's as bad as English but I can see it now.

It's as bad, but in a different way. The conjugation pattern of ligga just somehow sounds wrong to me, so I very easily mix it with lägga when I need supine or imperfect.

Luckily, when I'm ummm... sufficiently lubricated with alcohol I stop caring and, as it turned out, I can actually hold a decent conversation in Swedish these days. Who knew!

(It was a weird but fun weekend.)

Yup, the kids tried with ligga, liggde, liggt and both looked at me like I was an idiot when I tried to teach them ligga, låg, legat.
I get the reaction, but still, it's not my fault!

It's a delight that my post has spurred such a fun little linguistic dialog.

I may soon be learning a little bit of Norwegian. I'm becoming a fan of the Netflix series Lillyhammer, with Steven van Zandt.

I'm pretty sure another flogger will be bought this month.

I am so excited I get silly about it.

Were lots like this in their beginnings? Even if they were not fluttery young things?

It will be G's choice on aesthetics and we are going to be guided by the person we hope to buy from as to material. I mainly want it to feel right ( I do kind of hope G chooses something I like the look of, but its his choice.)

I love new toys, or rediscovering old ones. I recently found a small cane we'd bought quite a while ago and barely ever used. I put it on Master's pillow as a quiet reminder. It worked! :D

Several years ago, when we were still quite new together, we attended a talk night at our area BDSM club. They allowed vendors that night, and we found a gorgeous buffalo-hide flogger. It's a heavy, thuddy piece of work. Both of us loved it immediately. Master hemmed and hawed a bit, because he didn't have enough cash on him. I had come out to do a trade show and done quite well for myself, so I pulled the money out of my wallet and asked if I could please treat us to it. He was downright gobsmacked. :D It's one of our favorite floggers.

We're always taught verbs with four forms, ie. ligga, ligger, låg legat (that's because sometimes the preterite differs from the infinitive a lot, like vara, är, var, varit), and for some reason I've always thought that ligga, ligger, lade, lagt sounds more logical even though that that's wrong and it mixes ligga and lägga in the conjugation. It just rolls off the tongue better.

I recently tried to teach the potential verb forms to my nephew (he's 13) and he was puzzled. They're not that often used in everyday speech, but are pretty common in more refined texts and you hear them in the news and so on.

He made up awesome new verb forms. :)

Truth to be told, quite a lot of adults don't always get the "irregular" forms right, and that irks me more than it should - why try to use such an archaic form if you don't know how to get it even remotely right.

Oh, you're in for a treat! Since your first language is English, picking up Swedish is very easy and I imgine Norwegian is the same. Icelandic is more like German, and Danish would be a little more difficult, simply because it just sounds like a string of strange vowels and some throat action. If you know Swedish or Norwegian, it's easy to read it though. :)

As the show includes subtitles, I'm not hearing much of the Norwegian. Still, I figure I'll learn a word or two along the way.

And then all of a sudden, I realized the word "surrender" has taken on new meaning and depth in my life. It was a startling and stern reminder that thinking and learning really don't happen at the same time. While thinking is a projective, creative and comfy room to play, learning is at its core about listening and receptive and it is the place I truly need to spend more time in.

I am so profoundly grateful to be learning so much about just how much I still need to grow and heal. Gratitude of this depth feels like falling in love all over again, so please forgive the persistent swoon I'll likely be stuck in for a bit.
