I don't get why you would carry around a bike in the first place.

The only place we can store it is in our place and we live on the second floor. If I want to ride it I have to bring it up and down stairs.

Could it be something like Catalán? If you speak the two parent languages you can understand the offspring with ease. Or you are having a stroke

Something like that, yes. I'm still not completely sure of the language. Maybe a dialect rather than a language? I'm at a loss.

Now they're arguing about who's paid more in a restaurant on a previous trip to Germany. This is very bizarre.

Yes. Google has been used profusely but it hasn't really helped. I think I've decided it's a dialect rather than a language. It has so many similar traits to three languages I know ok-ish, but I can't really pinpoint it as any one of the languages, and there are a few German words here and there too. Odd.

I feel like I'm gonna have ask them at some point.

Edit: Problem solved now that I engaged my brain and went straight to wiki instead of trying to google. It is a dialect, now I'm sure of it, but I'm still a little on the fence between two types of dialects. I don't think I care enough to continue obsessing over this, though.

Maybe it was one of the reindeer that didn't make the cut to pull Santa's sleigh and it was depressed?

It was standing on the skiing track right under a hill when I came down the hill, dangerously fast naturally. It was absurd. Normally people hit reindeer and moose with their car, I almost did it skiing.
