The car was registered to some one who wasn't in the vehicle. So it's not looking good. And no lawyer will take the case, they only want to go after my insurance company and that will just end up hurting me in the end. Besides, they are giving me everything they are contractually obligated to, so I'm content with them.

This is horrendous. . How bad a state are you in wenchie?

Other than the emotional stress over finances and getting shit sorted, I'm okay. Some back pain in the lower back and between my shoulder blades, and some residual side effects of getting my head scrambled a bit, but over all it could have been much worse.

No, and this is what pisses me off most. The witness says that dude was driving, and at one point stopped the car (after he left the scene) to dump a bunch of beer cans out. (his damage was so bad, and he was leaving such a trail that the witness was able to follow him and tell the police where he stopped). But dude and the chick with him both say she was driving. She has an invalid license, he had none, and there's no comments on the third person the owner of the car. But my insurance is still treating it as an uninsured driver, so there isn't any other insurance involved.

Dude wasn't charged with anything, didn't even have to do a sobriety test because 2-1 said the chick was driving. The two of us who were hit didn't see who was driving. I got the worst of it.

No cameras anywhere on route? If the beer was in the car had they bought it very close by, did any one know if their route was so traceable? Could there have been CCTV where they bought it showing who got in the drivers side?

I'm not sure that they are going to go that in depth with the investigation. Especially since no one was seriously injured. I don't know of any cameras in that area, it was on the same block as the Uni I attend.

I thought that I would hear from the police, but they didn't even take an official statement from me... And I'm not sure how to go further with out legal councle getting involved, and none of them want to take the case because of the low likelihood of payout. It really has me feeling let down.

No, police would be unlikely to, I thought maybe you could, if they had told you his route.

I don't like wishing people ill, ( when I can restrain myself) so instead I am just going to hope that people drive with the same road courtesy and safety toward them as they show going forward...and let's hope they buck up. And wish YOU lots of luck and healing and something good now.

I have their addresses from the accident report that a few of these lawyers have "taken the liberty" to send me.

For maybe a little over a week I've been noticing items appearing at the bottom of a tree in the back. It's far enough away that I can't make out what the items are, but the colors and shapes change. I think they're being changed out during the night which makes me kind of nervous.

Mister noticed too and decided we should check it out. There's a little light with a Christmas themed pattern on it and a takeout dish. It looked like corn husks in the dish. Maybe a neighbor is feeding the wildlife? I'm not really sure what the light is for.

I must be a bit farther north than you. (And also in what passes for the mountains here.) When it finally decides to get cold here--January, usually--it gets cold. And I'm fine with that holding off for as long as possible.

I'll probably complain about all the bugs next summer, though. It sucks when it doesn't get cold enough to kill all the damn things.
