I'm willing to take my pound of flesh in the literal fashion.
Oh hell! Are you okay? Duh! Obviously not, but....damn! Big hugs and a bottle of your painkiller of choice. I'm so sorry that's happened to you!!! No insurance makes it difficult, but unless he's homeless he should have SOME assets. Ugh! These days, who knows? HUGS!
This is horrendous. . How bad a state are you in wenchie?
Blurt:
Worth going switch for.
Gentle hugs and prayers for speedy recovery.
Unsolicited advice (solicit a solicitor for real advice):
You might have a word with the criminal prosecutor and try to get court ordered restitution (depending on your jurisdiction). Not as good as a full insurance type settlement but better than nothing. Keep track of your costs.
Wenchie, was he at least charged with DUI? I sincerely hope so.
No cameras anywhere on route? If the beer was in the car had they bought it very close by, did any one know if their route was so traceable? Could there have been CCTV where they bought it showing who got in the drivers side?
No, police would be unlikely to, I thought maybe you could, if they had told you his route.
I don't like wishing people ill, ( when I can restrain myself) so instead I am just going to hope that people drive with the same road courtesy and safety toward them as they show going forward...and let's hope they buck up. And wish YOU lots of luck and healing and something good now.
Well, now when my heart skips a beat because a strange car pulls in the drive, or I feel the need to double check that the doors and windows are locked... it won't be because of him.
That chapter is closed.

For maybe a little over a week I've been noticing items appearing at the bottom of a tree in the back. It's far enough away that I can't make out what the items are, but the colors and shapes change. I think they're being changed out during the night which makes me kind of nervous.
Feeling paranoid. ;;
Well now you need to get out your binoculars or take a walk down there and look, so I can know what is there, please
Feeling curious
Mister noticed too and decided we should check it out. There's a little light with a Christmas themed pattern on it and a takeout dish. It looked like corn husks in the dish. Maybe a neighbor is feeding the wildlife? I'm not really sure what the light is for.
So that the neighbour can see the animals after dark?
Sounds like they are feeding tamales to the squirrels!
They must have made sixteen dozen as well
Maybe... the new neighbors are interesting. (>_>)
I just realized today is the first day of winter, it's 84°F.
Yeah, it's going to be 80° here Christmas day
Same.
I'm not complaining about the warm, though. It's the full week of nothing but rain, rain, and more rain that I object to.
Well I'm complaining about the warm
I get enough of that February through October.
I want what passes for cold here, 50s!!
