Just not been feeling hugely sociable of late. No major issues just my introverted nature kicking in!

I kind of accidentally bought a new car last week. Not my intention but I am not truly happy with my current one and Ford made me a deal that was too good to pass up.

Still seeing Belle as often as I practically can which is always something to put me in a good mood.

Hope you're all planning some form of awesomeness over the weekend?

I plan to spend a lot of time playing computer games and, maybe, trying to get back into painting some of my gaming miniatures. I have far too many sitting forlornly unpainted in boxes!

I don't know if anyone has any connections in Scotland or is in Scotland,...but hope everyone is ok in the weather and coping if they are without power.

I have a niece and her family in Dunblane, but they should be south of the worst of it according to the met office, although they do have an amber warning for wind. It's quite wild up here in the Preston area this morning, but not seeing anything severe so far.

Way back in my youth(!), I used to do 54mm Napoleonic figures and military dioramas. Spent many a happy hour totally absorbed painting faces and detailing uniforms

The thing lucybee sent is good. We cannot see it all ...there is a lot. But we have watched some and its sparked lots of conversation here. We particularly liked Meg John. It had us talking on a different level to often about things we are aware of and talk about but perhaps have got in the habit of glossing over or being too jovial about. The slight difference in our orientation for example, and the impact of my self image on everyday life and decision making.

I forwarded it to a couple of friends too, and kind of wish I had sent it to my sister in law too.

Elle, glad you are enjoying it. I have listened to a couple - yes, the Meg John one and the Reid Mihalko one. Both I have found uplifting and given me a lot to think about (I process things a lot!). Insight into passive aggression, which I occasionally fall into, being about unmet needs not expressed, really struck home. But the fun, lighter comments too about how professional tools (in the example, sex toys) give professional results

Doing great, thanks! I haven't been round these parts much, but my wife and I have been attending a lot of events. We met LucyBee01 and her Master again at the London Munch yesterday and gave them both chocolate chip cookies. Triple chocolate, no less!

Anyone going to LAM next weekend? We are planning to go, probably mid-afternoon ish and for the evening.

My wife and I are intending to go. We'lll probably aim to get there soon after it opens so that we're in good time for the workshops. On the other hand, we might take another trip to Camden beforehand, in which case we might get stuck browsing in some of the kink-orientated shops and stalls at Camden Lock.

Will probably be heading to the doctor soon, I have had a raft of stuff going on, but looking at the symptoms as a whole, I would hazard a guess that I am perimenopausal. :-( need to get blood tests to confirm, but let me just scream "Bollocks! " from the rooftops.

Been working with a lovely young man, helping him set up a whip making business. He is very talented and enthusiastic, so I have commissioned a few whips from him to sell at the markets. So if anyone wants a whip, come and see his work.
I won't be at BBB this month, I need some time off to spend time with the kids, and the last couple of one's have been really hard work. Back in March.

Lucybee, missed some days in the middle but caught the Devi Ward talk which I really liked, yesterday, and plan to listen to at least one of today's tomorrow morning.

I missed that one. Caught the Reid one on its bonus replay, yeah, he was great, I can see why he was popular. .


I will say there was a heavy emphasis on poly or outside relationship source as a possible solution. For G this was frustrating especially as he knows in a different scenario it would be an option I would consider. As a strict monogamist and something we committed to in our relationship and that I am allowed to explore in fantasy only (and to be clear something in my current physicalty and emotional state I think is all I could face) I think he felt a bit like he had it being thrust on him at all angles this week. .

I think it was BK Chan who talked about creating something resonant within an existing relationship. The example she gave was a couple, who, once a month, would dress up as out of towners, both drive separately to a cafe in the next town over and pretend to be strangers. Their eyes would meet from across the room and keeping within character, they would proceed to pick each other up, eventually suggesting they find a hotel and carrying on the role play there. I tought that was cool.

But yes, I can see that must have felt a bit frustrating. I guess I am exploring poly possibilities, seeing what I and Master are both comfortable with.
