The NEW UK Kink Thread

Spent a lovely day yesterday alone in the Lake District. Drove up to Windemere then got the boat from Bowness to Ambleside. The weather was really sunny but cold, so I walked up to the waterfalls at the top of the village before finding lunch and heading back across the lake. When the kids were small, we took holidays there and I sat for a while on a bench that we used to walk to each evening, looking out towards the Langdales in the distance. It's my 'happy place'!

When I was young, my brother did an exchange with a European student whose response to everything we ate or did was 'we have this in my country, only better.' The only time I remember him lost for words was when we took him to the lakes :D

That sounds like the perfect day out, I love the Lake District, so many breathtaking (literally and visual) walks, hikes and climbs.

Hiya, I have to admit that I haven't been to the lake district, only driven through it on the way to Edinburgh.

I saw the topic on live music, you can't beat seeing a good band live. I'm gutted I missed Muse recently.

Just doing a shameless plug. I am doing a charity auction for the Macmillian Nurses over on Fetlife. Here is the link if anyone fancies taking a dabble https://fetlife.com/users/2932027/pictures/47937436

Lally, so lovely to see you back :)

I do believe that spring may finally be here as the council have just been round with the industrial lawn mowers. Welcome back hayfever, oh how I have missed you!!

I hope everyone is ok, looking forward to seeing a few of you at May LAM

Hi Daisy, just caught me on the way out of the door, good to have you back around :)

Hello children! It's been a while, I've missed you all <3

Lake District is amazing! I remember spending a weekend there with my family a couple years back (loved the Beatrix Potter museum).

Malich and I will be at LAM next week, hope to see some of you there! ^^

Ach! Will miss you. Master is whisking me away for the bank holiday weekend :D

I miss LAM, must get to the June event.

We did go to SLAPP at the weekend which is organised by those lovely LAM folk. It was a little cramped, but nice atmosphere, fantastic pub grub and plenty of play furniture. Master and I had lots of fun with a hairbrush :D:eek:
We took a newbie along with us who enjoyed it immensely and mused on whether she would prefer to be a giver or a receiver, or both... And then her eyes nearly popped out of her head (mine too come to that) when an experienced whipper took centre stage. Wow.

Hi everyone, late first post of the day for this thread today. Hope all's well with you all :)

Just popping in to say happy bday to the Queen.
When I was quite young I was in London for the Queen's jubilee and (being young) I thought she was pretty old then! lol. Shows what a kid knows.

Hope everyone is well there!

Many thanks :)

Watched the Victoria Wood thing on TV - such an amazing woman :(

Just about sinking in about Victoria Wood and now Prince has gone. I'm not a big fan by any stretch of the imagination, but you can't deny his influence. What on earth is wrong with this year???

Morning all

Just a quick one as I am about to start dashing round doing some paperwork and housework as I'm getting an unexpected Belle visit this weekend WOO!!

we are (baring last minute SNAFUs) going to LAM next weekend so we'll see some of you there perhaps. Not sure yet when we'll get there or how long we will stay.

Morning Malich! Unexpected visits are often the best :)

So the violent squeaking that interrupted me watching Tv was a mouse. When I informed my landlord we may have an unwanted guest, he said 'Oh yes, don't worry, sure the traps will catch it. Didn't want to mention it in case it disturbed you.'
I really would rather he had mentioned it as now I feel the need to clean EVERYTHING.

Fortunately I can escape to Master's place for the weekend.

Excuse my noobiness but I often see LAM in the thread but I have no idea what LAM is. I'm guessing it is a special night somewhere.

more info if you're interested :)
Lots of workshops and stalls during the day (and food too!), and an after party from 7-10:30pm. The LAM staff does their best to make newcomers feel welcomed and encourage them to join in with the play stuff. You can also choose to pay less and watch people pay if you wish to do so.
