I was puzzled at first when I read that, because I thought that you and Master met Belle at LAM at the same time as my wife and I did. Then I recalled that we met you and Master at the London Munch a couple of days before that. *slaps self around head with pet halibut*

I do hope that you get to meet Belle. As has been widely trailed here, she's lovely (as is Malich -- I can't resist the urge to embarrass him with that statement at every opportunity!).

I'm currently in the uncomfortable and unfamiliar territory of self-promotion. As well as bumping my postings in the Lit Personals threads, I've been re-vamping my CV, creating a LinkedIn profile and making approaches about new employment. I haven't had to do that for many years.

Hi Oldenburg, just checked that out, and sending lots of support hugs News like that is always a shock, but there is a plan, and a target to aim at, so dig in, focus that belief, and don't let that damn disease win. I doubt that there's anyone on here that won't be with you all the way, don't be afraid to call on us

I'm 80% trying to be positive about it like you say, but there is that 20% niggerling doubt, I've had it in my head all evening, even when speaking to my dad keeping him positive it's there ( not showing it) fucking sucks big style.. He finds it hard to understand, since having his surgery he's changed.. Still my dad but he's not the same person that went in 4 weeks ago, he's getting better massively long road we still have ahead...

Next 3 months are going to be awful, not to even think about my poor mom having to drive 90 mile round trip to the hospital 5 days a week for 3 months. I'm not wishing life or time away but I can not wait to see the back of 2016 it's already been a fucker...

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time of it - reminds me of my life a few years ago.

So don't ever hold back from having a vent on here or the blurt thread of the cancer thread - you can say all those things you can't say in real life, and there will always be support from your friends here
