The NEW UK Kink Thread

Morning. Spitting here but not really raining.

Prof this morning. We'll see how he's behaving. Going to try to convince him to bathe this morning... not sure it will go down well.

Long day, one very fraught meeting. One of my clients is developing mental health issues and have been self harming. My heart breaks for the family.

Today has been full on! Thank goodness it is home time!

These Monday mornings roll round annoyingly fast.

Hope you're all well rested and ready for the week ahead.

They do!
After a fantastic weekend, today is annoyingly grey and dreary.
On the plus side I have an order from a dungeon master for a flogger :) he had ordered one thing, then his misses arrived and it is now completely different lol

Got some interesting handles in to trial. Not my usual type, but still shiny chrome :)

Hope everyone is ok xxx

Good morning, unexpectedly, from a dark, cold and damp Southampton.

Was falling asleep on the last part of the drive down. Does not bode well for the rest of the day.

Hope you all slept well.

Has the UK renamed itself to "New UK"? (sort of like "New York")

Good morning to the folks on the other side of the pond. :)

Morning peeps :)

Good night out last night, was given tickets to see "Wicked" really enjoyed it.

Mal, pop in and see M! He is down in portsmouth :)
How come you are down there? Wave as you come past on the way home :)

Lwulf, New uk, all very Dr Who!

More rain today :( the thames is flooding. Thankfully where I live is ok, we are quite high up here. If it gets up here, we are in trouble!

Was a flying (floating?) Visit. Im now just round the back of kempton park race course, sitting in my car, not wanting to get out into the wind and rain.

I bet it's wet round there!!
Are you staying down this neck of the woods?

hello miss daisy

Welcome UKERS old and new.
The old thread is being closed to new posts as it is so massive that the server is struggling under its enormous size ;)

So come on in, take of your skin, and rattle around in your bones!

Non UKers also welcome, we operate non discriminatory practise here! :)

are there any men in this thread how even slightly look like mathew macfadyen and love literature as well.

Nancy

much love daisy

I don't know what Mr Macfadyen looks like, but there are certainly intelligent, literature lovers here, and guys who can actually hold a conversation! Pretty rare and very good to find.

Welcome to the thread xx

We are under a severe weather warning (again) no sign of it yet, but I imagine in an hour or two it will reach us. The floods are getting closer.

I am making floggers today, hopefully I will have a stall at the Brighton Twisted Market on Sunday :) a chance to sell some of my wares and indulge in a day of kink related stuff! :) woot!!

No idea who I look like. My wife and a fe others claimed i looked a bit like Prince William before I grew my beard. I never saw it myself but there you go.

Not a fan of "literature" but I read a fair amount and some of them are even considered classics... By which I suspect most people just mean old :)

Hope you stay dry Daisy. No flood warning here but I suspect I might be retrieving my blue bin from somewhere down the street when I go out to get it!

My bin is gone and so is my gutter. It's getting pretty hairy...again!

Silly question, does a chocolate orange count as one of your five a day? This one is going down well :)

Made 4 floggers, need a break, my back is hurting. Ordered business cards, paid for my stall.

Debating what colours to do next :)

It's nearly school pick up time, I really don't want to go out in the cold and wet. I am warm and there is a cat on my lap :)

Well a cat should never be disturbed Daisy.

Tell me, is all this talk about flooding typical or atypical? Some posit that atypical flooding is proof of global warming, but being a resident of Florida, here in the States, and knowing that Florida is so flat and mostly about 1 foot above sea level, that it doesn't require much to put us under water. It just makes me question all this blabber about global warming.

I'm sure your distress with your flooding issues are genuine, and my heart goes out to you regarding that, but some tangential things just don't add up to me.

I wasn't aware that you were skilled in leather goods. Are you a close knit group that you would know of other leather workers? I once met Ian The London Tanner...
Once here, now back there.

I hope everything is OK there, it sounds pretty rough!

We had a brief power outage an hour ago and I'm watching the big oak just upwind of my house with some trepidation.

So far I've lost the A frame that (used) to hold up the blackcurrant bushes and some other garden stuff. The poor birds aren't going to be too impressed when they come out of hiding, either, their feeders seem to be somewhere downwind too.

Fingers crossed for each and every one of us. :)

Once here, now back there.

We are having very atypical weather since just before Christmas. There have been storms and deluges pretty much every day, a huge part of Somerset is underwater and has been since Dec, the army are out sandbagging, but lots of homes are flooded, farms have lost everything. The Thames is flooding upstream of London, it is the worst I have ever seen, and the latest forecast says a months rain in the next 2 days.
The jet stream is off kilter and England is getting storm after storm. The winds are supposed to hit 100mph tonight. I am getting a little weary of constant downpour.
Here they have dropped the term "global warming" for the more accurate "climate change" I see no evidence of warm!

Yes, I make floggers. My crack, err leather dealer is fantastic and finds beautiful hides for me. I don't know Ian :) but if he does nice hides, I may meet him at some point.

Rogue, are you north or south? I am south of London and we are getting hammered pretty good.
Stay safe xx

...yikes.

When you say "underwater" are we talking 1-2 feet (sorry I don't know that "metric stuff" just English XD ) or are we talking "chimneys are visible above the waterline"?

Um... From my brief exposure to Ian, he is a taste to be acquired, in some respects at least. :D He leaves a ...lasting impression... on some. Did I mention it was a spanking party I met him at? His moniker MAY be a double entendre though I KNOW he deals with leather goods.
I got along with him rather swimmingly, whether he felt the same about me is another matter altogether. I liked him though, despite his strong-armed opinions, and respected his knowledge of the craft.

Another person I met was Kitty (and her, by now, husband) from Exotic Paddles (Nevada, US). Different category of implement altogether and a different party, but I liken them together for their ability and knowledge of their craft.
I thought that was pertinent to mention for some reason...

Somewhat more interesting to you perhaps is another fellow I've been watching on deviantart who seems to have an imaginative way of working leather. His craft is leather body armor though. In some respects, his ability is a little on the crude side, or maybe that is just my overly judgmental temperament. I have a healthy respect for the woes of stitching leather, it's just sometimes I see some of his embellishments are ...rushed perhaps? Still, he has a wildly creative style that makes me watch...

Hoping your keeping your toes high and dry...

There are vast areas that are 4-5 feet under. There are some places where it rose by 39" in a night.
It is rising everywhere and the end of this is nowhere in sight :( the thing is, it isn't draining, there is nowhere for it to drain to.

Leather wise, floggers are my thing, I love flogging and being flogged. I love the different sensations that I can achieve.

Could you tell some of the names of the men hoping to find a kindred spirit or 2 let me know when all is well

Much love

Nancy

That's a shame but I can relate. South Florida is much the same, when flooding occurs, there is nowhere for it to go. My sympathies. :(

I've started dabbling in instruments. In the past, I've always liked skin to skin, but in recent years, either I'm hitting much harder than before or I am getting way too black and blue which stays for a week or two. The whole palm of my hand, my fingers to the distal phalange and from the underside of my fingers all the way around to almost the top.
The obvious decision is to go to an instrument which means a lighter touch is necessary.

The trouble is I like hearing the sound as much as anything else. The natural thing one might think is a slapper, but Ian said that most slappers are weighted with metal which might eventually come out and cut the submissive. Obviously something not desired... weighted with doubled over leather means the sound is not as appreciable.

Observationally, floggers are nice because they can change from wide to small areas of impact, depending on how it is used, but there again they don't make a terribly loud impact sound which makes me incorrectly think "I have to swing harder".

The conundrum of getting older...

Nearly morning there for you. My hopes and wishes that you see sunshine and nary a cloud at dawn's first break.

To achieve a loud noise when flogging, use a flogger with many, but slightly softer falls. I have one like this and it turns heads when it is used.

The house is still mostly dry, will see how close it is when we go out.
Wind gusting at 108mph last night.

I achieved my goal of 6 floggers, hope to do 3 today as I have to work today.

Keep safe folks xx

Next doors shed is currently sitting at a jaunty angle and there is slightly more fence in my garden than I recall being there yesterday.

Other then that I think we've mostly survived intact.

That's handy, another night and day of this predicted, so you may be able to open a fence store by Monday ;)
