The NEW UK Kink Thread

Evening all.

We finally arrived - I drove for five and a half hours in total and I'm absolutely shattered...

Glad you made it safe!

Hope you all have a great time in your respective venues!

Morning all

Friday. Not going to be about much until Saturday night. Will be checking in from time to time but got the prof this morning and then away this afternoon with H.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hope you have a good time on your trip away, Mal :D

Hubby's not well so he's had a bad night. Just had breakfast in a room overlooking the bay - the weather is lovely so the view was beautiful. So I'm doing some work now answering the 60 emails that have landed since yesterday morning, then if hubby is feeling better, we will be heading out.

Hope you all have a good day.

I suggest a new voice mail message. something along the lines of

"I'm on holiday. If you can't handle this on your own then I'm not sure what I am paying you for and suggest you start trying to find new employment! Leave a message after the beep..... if you dare!"

That's why you're a Dom and I'm not! :D

I aim to please......it's a fault. I know....

Make sure that knowing when to bother Lally and when to handle things on your own, is one of the top criteria when deciding who gets a raise and make sure everyone knows it.

Tell people you have no idea where the rumour about redundancies started, but people are immediately to stop discussing it.

+ 1 Internetz!

Mental note: One of Bert's characteristics = sadism. I like it (but that might be because *I'm* a sadist, lol)!

That was a surprisingly cruel idea from Bert, wasn't it? :D

To be fair, the staff haven't been bad - they've had a go at most of the problems on their own, but there was an unusual situation today which they needed some help with.

Once that was cleared up, we headed off to the wildlife reserve for a walk in the glorious sunshine. We got to the otter hide (no otters), then to the heron hide (no herons) and finally the squirrel trail (and no squirrels)... Our grand total of wildlife spotting amounted to a couple of reed buntings, a robin, four cows and a butterfly :D. I see more wildlife on a walk from our house! But it was very pleasant and my legs have got that pleasurable ache that reasonable exercise brings.

Hope everyone else had (or is having) a good day xx

Forgive me if I'm stereotyping, but being called cruel on this thread seems like a compliment of the highest order :) I wonder what you'd call me if I was making an effort?

Sadistic? yes
Evil? occasionally
Cruel? Never.

Cruel indicates action for no reason other than you can, to make the other person feel less than they are... in my book anyway. So the first one/ of you that uses that title for me will be the first one I try it out on ;)

That's a nice distinction. And a very good point. I think it has the makings of an interesting discussion, because I don't think your definition of cruelty is completely accurate. I'd say it's possible to be cruel for a good reason and without enjoyment - it's a while since I read The Prince, but I'm pretty sure I could find some supporting evidence there.

Anyway - I meant no insult - only that when it comes to cruelty, the folks on here are likely to know it when they see it. I apologise if my words raised any hackles

I tell you what was cruel - we missed lunch yesterday because we'd booked dinner for 7 PM here at Fawlty Towers. There were 8 tables occupied and, to cut a long story short, this put the kitchen under so much pressure they lost our order. By the time it arrived, after an hour and a half, my stomach thought my throat had been cut.....

GAH!! That's not good at all.

And no insult taken. Just very protective of my reputation as a considerate dom / human being :)

Morning all from ExCel, currently geek central, UK.

Yeah - not good :( hope they pampered you at breakfast.

@Malich Glad we're cool - Saying the wrong thing is something of a gift I have. I think I was blessed by the foot-in-mouth fairy as a child:)

Well, at least it wasn't The Oh God of Hangovers who blessed you.:D

Ah, I avoid Bilious by the simple expedient of not drinking :)

Left Glastonbury at 7.30, collected daughter from Lampeter, and 320 miles and several hours later, I've just arrived back. I'm shattered. Luckily, the snoring from my passengers kept me awake

Hope you're being pampered now then :)

You're joking, aren't you.... There's football on - that always makes me invisible...
