The NEW UK Kink Thread

Morning all, and a big hello to the new posters, nice to have you around :)

Weekend went pretty well, spent a few hours in the park on saturday enjoying the sun, plus it was nice and cheap after getting the car back!! £160 for the service (not bad), but going to need £180's worth of tyres in the next month or so (can't complain though), and about £300's worth of suspension and brake bits. Ouch. Nothing too serious, but needs doing. Still it'll be right for a good while afterwards.

Malich, glad to hear your settling in nicely, I like IKEA stuff, there's one near us, and most of the stuff we've had from there has been preety much bomb proof.

Lally, did you manage to get anywhere nice?

Daisy, hope your feeling better *sends appropriate hug*

Morning all, and welcome to edwalu and CnC :)

I wouldn't be in Tim Vine's shoes for a gold clock! :D I love Lee Mack and I can't see him letting that win pass without getting a LOT of mileage from it...

We had an IKEA disaster yesterday - we've been looking for a dressing table for daughter, and finally decided to get it yesterday. I went online to check that it was in stock at the branch nearest to us, that was fine, so hubby and son set off to arrive when the store opened.

They rang an hour later to say that, having fought their way round, the warehouse had zero stock, and all the warehouse guy could say was that there must be computer glitch. So, two disgruntled menfolk and one disappointed daughter... And they didn't get any chocolate either!

We went to the coast on Saturday and had a couple of good walks along the seashore - the first was when we just arrived and it was blowing a gale and freezing, the second after lunch when it had warmed up a bit :D

Glad that you're all settled in, Mal. Hope everyone else has had a good weekend and that Daisy managed to get to the fair yesterday xx

Yes, seems like a nice place!

Sorry to report though that I made no DIY/furniture/vehicle related purchases of any kind this weekend. I will attempt to do better.

So, I find myself in Bournemouth. Funny the places you get sent on 2 hours notice.

Hope everyone is ok today?

Morning everyone!

Hope you are all well, 29 m from Leeds here. Running very late for work :(

Morning all, and welcome ruk1234.

I was later in to work than I expected, thanks to roadworks on every route I could try  It took me 40 minutes to travel 3 miles, so I just sat back, put some music on and sang my head off :D

I had the day from hell yesterday and came very near to losing my temper completely thanks to a succession of extremely stupid customers - the ones who ring up to complain on top note that they haven't received their order when they haven't actually sent it to us in the first place, and don't have the good grace to admit that they're in the wrong..However, I'm hoping that today will be better.

The sun's shining, isn't it? :D

Hi folks, hope all is well with you all, and a warm welcome to ruk1234 and sazzyslut.

It's bucketing down up here, although it was nice earlier. Spirits are undampened though, still well chilled after a good day off yesterday :D

I am safely back in the North. Bournemouth was a half day so I've managed to get home at a reasonable hour which is pleasant... and with no reports to write up today! Woooooooooooo!

Woohoo!!

Antibiotics finished, pneumonia (hopefully) defeated.

Been a very rough few weeks that I wouldn't wish to repeat in a hurry.

Hope you are all well xxx

Morning all, sun's up and going for it here, but the outcome is far from certain. Bright with no rain would do me nicely :)

Nice to hear you're on the mend Daisy, just don't push yourself too hard, it'll be few weeks yet before you're back to 100%.

Grey and dank here.

Car's in for service today so that could be a pricey one, we shall see. Got an engineer coming to tell me why my electricity meter is acting up a bit and really need to register with a doc today.

Hope everyone else has a calm day planned!

Morning all - glad to see you're feeling better, Daisy :) Hope the car bill isn't too painful, Mal - but it will be worth it, given all the miles you do :)

Pretty grey and miserable here today - I'm out visiting clients in a variety of places today so I hope the motorways are kind.

Yeah, it's gone far too long without a service. Road tax this month as well... probably 2 new tyres as well. Joy of joys!

Just a quick note to everyone in the uk.
Good morning and have a great, hopefully naughty day:)
