The NEW UK Kink Thread

Morning all, just got in and it's pouring down up here. But it is Friday, and that means it's BACON SANDWICH DAY!!!!! To be fair, I don't indulge every week, but I feel like a treat today :)

With Tomato or Brown sauce?

Morning all, and welcome ruk1234.

I was later in to work than I expected, thanks to roadworks on every route I could try  It took me 40 minutes to travel 3 miles, so I just sat back, put some music on and sang my head off :D

I had the day from hell yesterday and came very near to losing my temper completely thanks to a succession of extremely stupid customers - the ones who ring up to complain on top note that they haven't received their order when they haven't actually sent it to us in the first place, and don't have the good grace to admit that they're in the wrong..However, I'm hoping that today will be better.

The sun's shining, isn't it? :D

Thanks to everyone for the welcome messages.

It sounds like you had a terrible journey the other day. I got a bollocking at work for being late, so now I have to get up even earlier to get here on time ugh!

Don't get me started about awkward customers. I have to deal with the dumbest in society on a daily basis. I am genuinely one of the calmest people you will ever meet but sometimes enough is enough as I sure you will agree.

Its raining this morning, seems the norm these days! Aslong as the weather is nice for the weekend i'll be happy!

ooh, the great dividing question! We should run a poll.....

Horribly cold and wet here, but I've heard that Yorkshire has snow, so maybe Mal has it worse.

I live in West Yorkshire and there is no snow here, though I am sure there will be snow somewhere in Yorkshire.

It's mild down here in the south, I hope we don't get snow. The cats are going nuts over something, expecting weirdness!

A bacon sarnie sounds like a really good idea. For me it has to ketchup and black pepper, occasionally a fried egg with the yolk still runny.
Dammit I'm tempted now!

Well I have to deliver a flogger later, so I think I will treat myself. It is Friday after all!

I forgot my breakfast this morning and dont have time to buy anything before work starts. I also have nothing in my draw at work to nibble on.

I cant eat my lunch for breakfast, can I?!

The talk of Bacon sandwiches is making my mouth salivate.

Morning all.

No bacon here, not breakfast at all but I shall survive. No snow either. Neither in North Derbyshire (home) or South Yorks (with the prof). grey, damp and drizzle here. Fairly mild too.

Friday thank goodness. Yesterday was a bit of a write off from a works perspective, lots of little things kept taking me away from the documents I was supposed to write and never had time to get my rhythm back from one interruption before the next one arrived. Did a document that should have taken about 2 hours over the whole 8 hours of the day.... But, did at least get a lot of little bits and pieces done.

Welcome ruk!

According to the news, Huddersfield is getting the snow, so maybe it's just on the high ground and won't affect us lowlanders.

I REALLY want a bacon sandwich now.....with brown sauce :D

It reminded me - the only meat that hubby (vegetarian for over 40 years) ever says that he likes the smell of is bacon. But this week he said that he has started to consider eating meat of all varieties again

We eat only high welfare animal produce....where possible ; its difficult socially to go to others homes and demand they buy free range/high welfare animal products, and as they know we eat meat we cannot pretend to be vegan or pescatarian ( I find it harder to relate to fish and crustations:eek:).

Actually, hubby isn't strictly vegetarian because he will eat some fish, but absolutely not shellfish.

He always feels a bit uncomfortable about it, because it is always assumed that he won't eat meat because of a moral stance about animal welfare. In fact, it relates back to his childhood and the moment he realised that what was on his plate was a piece of a dead cow or a dead pig. He reacts in the same way that I would if someone put a dead rat or mouse on my plate and expected me to eat it.

That's why his possible change of mind is quite a shock to me.

Am loving this thread today, so many different viewpoints weaving around. It's funny, I've got a few vegetarian friends, and they all say that the only thing that ever gets to them is bacon.

When I was a child, we kept hens for a while - because we reared them from chicks, the hens were very tame and I used to be able to treat them like pets. So once, one of my father's friends came to kill one for us to eat, my dad being unable to bring himself to do it, but none of us could eat it

My parents got rid of them when we moved and years later when I was a teenager, I got a weekend job collecting eggs at a battery farm. I won't[ go into the grisly details but I didn't eat chicken or eggs for many years afterwards, and the one thing that I am fanatical about is only eating humanely produced fowl and their related products.

I could never give up meat but i know alot of vegetarians who are tempted by the smell of bacon.

I just couldnt go through life without eating things like Burgers, Steaks, Bacon, Ribs to name a few. I believe that they were put here for us to eat. I respect everyones views but I couldnt be a vegetarian at all.

Lots of good discussion here today :) I don't think there's a better reason to do anything than to be happy and at peace with yourself.

Morning all - hope we all had a good weekend.

It's freezing here - let's hope it's not another snow covered Easter this year...

Gianbattista - I work bank holidays so no 4-day weekends for me alas.

Lally - Not too cold here but the odd rain shower perfectly timed to start just as I leave any building / vehicle I happen to be in and to stop after I have reached my destination :)

You're going to have to stop doing that rain dance, aren't you? :D
