Nope, I slept through the storm again mostly. Woke up briefly and heard a few muted rumbled but then rolled over and went back to sleep. 2 monster storms and I missed both of them. I love a good storm.

Was rewarded with some pleasant (and in places odd) dreams though so I guess that's acceptable. Just wish I remembered a bit more of them.

Sorry I've not been around much, but the 14 hour days have arrived a few months early

The engineer, when he finally arrived, fixed the machine in 10 minutes. Which was great until it broke down again 20 minutes after he'd left.....I've ended up sending it back and modifying another to do the job I need it to. Lots of phone calls back and forth and I've still got to negotiate compensation. Hey ho..

The car's fixed, thanks, but it took 5 days instead of 3. No surprised there then. I realise now that the turbo must have been going for some time. I only have to look down at the accelerator and the car takes off like a rocket

I finally had to hand in my notice with the Prof last week. It's getting too much for me to deal with now and I'm fighting through too many layers of management to get anything meaningful done.

It'll be a shame to leave him. But for my own sanity it's the only choice.

My last address in London was in nw London, zone two. Far easier than driving to a London supermarket for a monthly stock up of basics often was slipping out to the m1 and nipping up to Watford. The m1 felt like a blessing then! Its proportional, fifty feels great compared to a crawl through central London day times.

Or compared to cosying up with fellow commuters in a packed tube at 30 degrees

The great thing about living relatively centrally is that everywhere is walkable if you don't mind a longish walk. Because I couldn't always do that I did often take alternative routes to 'my' over loaded tube then get a not crowded bus back in above ground that made more sense than packing in the more direct tube line. G refuses to use public transport for commuting and does it all on foot. He lives with in the same district as he works during the week. Sadly it still means crossing Town for commute to home.

Yes, I try to incorporate some walking to avoid the most hideous tube journeys. Means packing my very proper work shoes so I can happily trudge around in trainers Might be doing a lot of trudging come Thursday if the tube strike goes ahead.

Morning all, how is everyone today?

I have just posted my second story and I have a couple of favours to ask you guys.

1st, I know is not bdsm but it has led my imagination down routes that most definitely are, saying that I have little to no real experience, I believe imagination can do a lot but if there are any male subs out there that would be willing to chat to me about their experiences I would greatly appreciate it to try and be a little more accurate in the next part.

From up here it was M6 south, A500 across Stoke, then A50 east. Not bad early mornings, but snarled up badly coming back. The two winters that I was doing that journey were the two that were supposed to be the worst in decades, but I only had to abandon the trip once. Scariest morning was getting onto the A50 the other side of Stoke and finding everything covered with thick snow, no idea where the edge of the road was, and just two tyre tracks heading east to follow Luckily, whoever had made them had managed to stay on the road.

Enjoyed the new story by the way, reads pretty good to me As for it not being bdsm, why do you think it wouldn't be? Mild perhaps, but if the participants enjoy those elements that they indulge in, and it works for them (which in the story, it obviously does), then I personally wouldn't exclude it. For me, bdsm is a very broad church, there's no right or wrong way, and it's nice change to read something that's more loving and doesn't feel it has to push things to the extreme. Well done from me!

Arse! Just got a job in London for Thursday, the job means I have to leave my van at Victoria station then get across London to hither green for a night shift that finishes back at Victoria. It also means I don't check in until 4am Friday. Proper gutted. Then Friday traffic leaving London.
