The NEW UK Kink Thread

Morning everyone!

Just to say that it was great to meet LucyBee01 and her Master at the London Munch yesterday evening. I'll risk embarrassing them by vouching that they're really lovely -- both as individuals and together. :)

My wife and I were a little apprehensive about a munch set in a bar rather than in a dungeon as per our previous experiences -- what on earth would we find to talk about? We needn't have worried: it was a fabulous experience. Over the course of several hours, we enjoyed chatting to a wide range of people on a diverse set of topics. We both learnt a lot and we've made some more new friends. :D

Now to cope with the "back to normal life" drop...

AMAZING DAY!!!

We had squaddies doing a conga.

We had policemen skipping through a tunnel made of flags.

We had so many people laughing.

Bring on tomorrow!

Well, the moon was not a blood moon when we looked, so we missed it, and 'sleep' was slept through. G turned it off at some point.

Doh! Sorry to hear that Elle :( A blood moon would be something to see...I kept trying to take photos of the moon hanging full and low in the sky on my way back from the rugby yesterday but it turns out that the new iPhone camera sucks just as hard as the old ones.

Off to make myself a syrup and lemon drink My throat is swollen from all the 'entertaining' yesterday *grins*

:). I am just about to take a lemsip into the bath.. My voice is uncharacteristically soft at the moment, and its interesting to see how differently people interact with me. A really lovely person at Timpsons was very solicitous and gentle, for example, I'm certain the voice makes me seem timid. Sadly my normal voice is honed from calling dogs from a distance or other livestock, "Oi, food" or " bed time" across fields. My surviving pair of geese respond to me yelling " BOYS!".

My ipad takes all my pictures. I think its great......in good light. In poor lighting there is no chance. The moon has been breathtaking as it is, low and close and full, its felt like we could just hop aboard, don't you think? but I was still sad to miss the blood moon, nonetheless.

Ha! My voice is much the same normally, though mainly from an adult life yelling at punters to drink up before turfing out time *grins* Definitely a wench voice!

The moon has been fabulous, you can really see the 'face' staring down at you at night *smiles* Just my favourite thing :)

Lemsip today. Work is looking to be unlikely tomorrow because my nose is bunged up and my cough still gets worse post-6pm... and I work until 9pm. But at the very least I am going to go in and see what they say, and to at least get my payslip!

Wow, so much to catch up on in this thread!! A general hello to everyone *waves*
And definitely all you poorly people look after yourselves :rose:

Had bacon and sausage sandwich for lunch yesterday (on toast too, LucyBee :D) and it was every bit as good as expected :cathappy::cathappy:

SV - won't dare mention what I had for breakfast yesterday :D But I see we have moved on to pizza now. Mmmmm.

MF - it was lovely to meet you and your wife at the munch :) I am glad you found it friendly and interesting. Mostly are like that. Hope our paths cross again soon. And hope to meet more Litsters with time.

Um, I am pretty sure the spectacle is tonight, not last night.... Fairly sure the nice weatherman on the telly this morning said it would be around 3.10am Sun/Mon night, so I think you can try again if you can wake up for it

Evening all! :)

My wife and I have just returned from a rather good Flogger Workshop at which, amongst other things, we were introduced to rhythmical Florentine flogging using a pair of floggers. I still have a long way to go in learning the technique, but I eventually managed to get my head around the coordinated timing of both hands to achieve four evenly-spaced strikes per cycle on the target. Admittedly, that target would currently need to be the size of a car bonnet, but hopefully my accuracy might improve with more practice! :D

Lol get good with the one first. I find florentine a bit overrated. It looks nice, but being on the receiving end is very tippy toppy as opposed to nice and thuddy. Bring on Thor! !!

Lovely to see you both twice this weekend, the London Fetish Weekend is this coming weekend if you fancy another debauched weekend lol. I will be at LAM on Saturday.

Very tired this morning and in dire need of bacon.

Hello to all the new folks joining us.

Hey Mal, lovely to see you. Do you fancy bringing Belle along to Brum on the 25th?
A gentle wave to Lally, missing you xxx

Still getting better - throat is once again as rough as a badger's arse - but feeling more 'me' so that is an improvement at least!

Morning everyone, beeuuutiful day here, all bright and sunny :)

Seems like everyone had a pretty good weekend, lots to keep you all occupied :D

MF, the workshop sounded interesting, bet you'll need a fair amount of room to practice though!!

Big hello to all suffering with this cold/bug that's doing the rounds, think I'm just about over it now.

"I see we have moved on to pizza now. Mmmmm."

Ha ha, indeed LucyBee, we ended up having pizza on friday night, and it wasn't my suggestion, either :)

Did anybody manage to see the moon last night? I didn't get up to see it, looked normal-ish and a bit misty when I went to bed, and a bit waxy when I got up, but was too tired to make the effort to watch the show .

LaughingCat, the moon is notoriously difficult to photograph well, as it's a moving target (however slowly). It can end up looking rather small and lost unless you zoom in a bit, which can limit the aperture and push the shutter speed down, and anything less than about 1/30th second and the moon starts to elongate. That's with film anyway, don't have any experience with digital SLR's for this sort of thing.

Malich, nice to hear that things seem to be working out for you :)

Daisy!! Good to here you're ok, major bacon deficiency here too this morning :(. Anybody spoken to Lally recently?

Trying to convince her to visit at some point. if it happens to be that weekend we might pop down. if not I am sure i'll get her there at some point!

Afternoon, all! I hope the extra pull of the moon isn't adversely affecting anyone. :)

Thor... yeah! Anyone photographed holding it without any additional scale context is likely to look very small. :D

Don't worry! We'll continue in single flogger mode for the time being. We were originally going to save that workshop until we felt ready to move on to more advanced techniques, but we found ourselves unexpectedly free yesterday, so was an opportunity for us to take a look at something new without any pressure to continue with it. Oh... and it gave us an excuse to socialise again! :)

Yes! Even with a single flogger, we find ourselves short of room now that we've learnt to stand further back to avoid that unpleasant "wrap-around". I've asked Santa for a large dungeon this Christmas, but I'm not sure that he'll oblige.

We won't be able to get there this weekend, as I'm due to take part in my first-ever marathon on Sunday morning!

Instead, we've put 1st November (for LAM) in our diaries. Perhaps we'll see you (and other Litsters) there! :)

A marathon?! Hats off to you then! How is the training going?

I think for this LFW I am only going to make it to the introductory Crunch event on Thursday night (then taking Friday off work to recover :D). Yey, another disco :nana:

Almost complete! I've been tapering down for the last two weeks. At the peak of my training, I was running more than 40 miles in a week, with a 20+ mile run at the weekend. I haven't done the whole distance at once during training (indeed, I was advised not to attempt it) so I'm relying on adrenaline, guts and support from the crowd to get me around the last few miles on the day.

G and I might be able to do November, not sure yet...in London.
Woohoo! Litster group hug at LAM? :D (Or, perhaps, a rather more British exchange of handshakes)
.

her tickets are booked, we shall be there for a few hours in the morning!

Wooooooot! It will be lovely to see you both!

I will be at LAM. The food is lovely there, but get in early as they have a tendency to run out. It gets very busy there!
It would be lovely to see everyone.

Busy week getting ready for the fetish weekend. I may not be on much. If you pm me on Fetlife I will get any messages xx
