My vacation was drawing to a close. It had been spend mostly unable to see well due to a series of operatins on my eyes . This has necessitated remaining close to home mostly resting and enjoying my deck and garden. iI had popped into Lit when I could not as often as I would have liked as it had become increasingly stressful to write through a haze of fog.

I had missed slipping into the Inn in the wee hours of the morning to take care of my beloved chores. I returned t work on Monday eyes once more at full strengh , today would be spent prepping for our anual picnic fo my clientele which would be held on Sunday. So much to be done today, I simply couldnt sleep.

I missed the Inn, I had missed my friends , missed CG and wished that I had more time to spend with Timothy.

While the coffee perked i coaked the fire into blessed life and tidied up the Inn. Soon the intoxicating aroma filled the empty room once more calling seductively to those in need of its potent powers.

I placed a bucket of loving hugs beside the coffee pot one for each of my friends together with a large plate of home baked cookies.

I carefuly laid a pristine white rose on CG's battered armchair.

Gathering the stuffies Amc had thoughtfully left on the bar for me I slipped quietly back into the shadows...

A whi9te rose, the sign of a loving soul rest on my chair as I make my way down from my loft. down from a black despair that of late has held me it is grip. The dark seductive aroma of fresh brewed coffee lifts my battered spirits as does a delightfully naughty post that requires my attention.

Something to remember Dragon. The feds, the ones who will be told to carry a guns against civilians, most of them are family men and women. Most of them own firearms at their homes and would fight tooth and nail to keep their weapons.

On a side note the midwest is full of former service members who own firearms. If the government moves against civilians... Even if they got NATO troops involved it would be a one sided war quite some time.

There is, however the fact that UN troops are being moved into the country.

In any case, yes, back to the idea. A prototype ship put in the hands of a civilian to be kept from being used as a war weapon. Same basic idea behind Martian Successor Nadesico.

My next lecture is in Maine and deals with the late seventeenth century conflicts between Frances southern push down the coast and the English movement up the coast at Pimiquit and how the Local tribes played both European powers against each other and became the dominate force to tip the scales. Not a view often taken in popular Histories. After all they were just simple savages Right?
