I enter the Inn sleepy eyed and in search of coffee. The aroma fills my senses and I see Mari curled up on the couch and CG with his morning brew.

"Morning CG" I call as I detour for the couch.

I give Mari a long deep good morning kiss and note her empty coffee cup and the gift I left sitting nearby. "Good morning honey. I see you found my present." Blushing as I realize it's out in the open, though it's simple in nature, it did hold special meaning.

Picking up her empty mug as I rise slowly from her lips, "Can I get you a refill?"

Her kiss revives me more than any cup of coffee could, but the need for caffeine is still dire.

I take a seat in my old leather chair and wonder what the day will bring.

Looks up to see Fun enter and greet Cg. Knowing his need for coffee at this hour, the fact he crosses to kiss me first is doubly significant.
As ever his kiss sweeps me off my feet as I return it before finally easing apart...

"Good morning honey. I see you found my present."

I look down to see the roll or ribbon has fallen free of its box and blush.

"Yes ... yes I did ... thank you ..."

I meet his gaze and I know what he is thinking. But ever subtle, he merely asks;

"Can I get you a refill?"

With the slight slip of a giggle I nod as he picks up my mug.

"Yes please ... a refill would be lovely ... thanks ... "

With the slight slip of a giggle I nod as he picks up my mug.

"Yes please ... a refill would be lovely ... thanks ... "

I refill her mug and pour one for myself as I make my way to the couch. A sip of the delicious brew. I hand Mari her mug before snuggling close and kissing her gently.

Turning to CG, I ask about his day. "More work around the Cabin today CG, or do you have another day trip planned?"

H F today is dedicated to a little puttering as the weather is a tad unsettled and getting together some notes for a weekend lecture.. Quite busy really as I will be away this weekend and the next before I get a break. I fear my lawn will look more like a hay field before I can get to it.....

A ponder that mental picture for a moment and decide I like the rustic image that forms before my minds eye.

But I fear my neighbors would be a bit miffed if the lawn turned into a hay field.

I slip into the now quiet Inn and freshen the coffee pot before pouring myself a much needed cup. My long tresses are still tousled from sleep and i am yawning as i settle on a huge floor cushion before the sleepy fire. I shall tend to it later when I am more awake...maybe..right now we are both on the same page..i stake a slip of my cofee content just to be.


The hugs mari had left for mw had delighted me and I found myself smiling as i gazed into the fire.
