The submissives demeanor

Okay, I know how to get smileys - but where can I store 'em so they will stay visible in posts, etc.? Do I have to keep 'em stored on a website or ftp site?
Yep, you sure do. There are a few sites that allow direct linking to graphics - try photobucket.com or flickr.com if you want to give it a shot!

I haven't noticed many other people using mine, which I've collected from around the web. (I doubt I have any of yours - mine are all static!) I haven't noticed it making a major impact on my server load; they're each only a couple of kb so it's not a big deal for me. Animated ones are larger, though, so I could see where that would be a problem!

my animated smiley page ranks high in the search results for chat smileys, which equals a high rate of traffic to just that one page. i also provide tutorials for a very popular and frequently searched for unofficial third party yahoo chat client, and various pc help pages, plus some fun stuff like a free game download, and a tips page for parents in regard to keeping kids safe while they surf online and a beauty tips and advice section.

The domain is very well 'cross linked' with comparable sites of high rank traffic and search wise. It all equals pages with high traffic volumes as well as high search ranks (all pages are spidered by the search bots every 24-48 hours) which unfortunately increases the tendancies for hotlinking.

Bandwidth is not an issue as long as i do not have to deal with the entire collection of animated smileys being hotlinked among countless forums across the net. i like to keep bandwidth usage on the lower side in that by doing so my webhost has been kind enough to overlook peek traffic spurts (never had to pay a penny extra .. el cheapo ;) ) for the past three years and continues to do so. ;)

Thanks though, ... appreciate it.;)
