Things that piss you off?

it pisses me off that a friend of mine is hurting. i'm a guy... i have an natural urge to fix things but sometimes you just have to accept that you can't... and that hurts too. :(

Ohhhhhh I hate it when I can't fix those type of things.. Pisses me off big time.

there is little worse than the feeling of impotence in that situation. i'm sorry, chief. i wish i knew what to say.

well wasn't me today, but a colleague, but since she doesn't know lit i will post in her name...

people who think that their problem is more important than anyone else's - like, push the other customer who is doing their checkin out of the way to tell the receptionist whatever problem they so urgently want resolved. and do so repeatedly, after having been told to wait.

also, people who think that the general rules don't apply to them - even if you think we should already know you have a free breakfast, you still have to show us your guestcard where it says so, like everyone else. we have over one hundred people in the house, and since most of us work part time, we probably didn't see you yesterday as we weren't there, so if we don't enforce this, we are bound to end up confusing things.

and how come that someone who has been there three days, and has had breakfast every day during that time, with coffee, AND is standing right in front of the coffee, asks me where the coffee is?

(and apart from that i had another fun experience of cleaning a stuffed up toilet, again, today. yay.)

very good post munachi... i couldn't agree with you more.

when i break those rules, however, it's because they don't apply to me. ;)

I have a huge Thanksgiving planned at my house tomorrow with 30+ people attending.

Yesterday, a utility person was at my house and when leaving, ran off my driveway, into my yard, and ran over a plumbing *thingie* which was protected and surrounded by large cinder blocks. *D'uh ... kinda hard to miss seeing those cinder blocks you Fucktard!!!*

The real problem? He burst my main water line running into my house. I have a geyser of water in my front yard and NO water in the house. *yes, okay ... we DID shut off the water at the meter to stop the geyser effect* Now, the day before Thanksgiving I am having to find a plumber to fix this problem. But to make me spitting mad is the fact that the utility company is refusing to take responsibility for the accident. They flat out told me it was my word against theirs!!!

Grrrrrrr .... I can't believe this shit!!!!

you mean to tell me that they're actually telling you they'll LIE to get out of this? what about the tire tread in your yard that matches their truck? what about any neighbors that saw something? and what about your word is worthless? who's to say that their word would win?

if i were you i'd get a lawyer and have him/her take action immediately. the longer you stay personally involved here the more difficult you'll make it for yourself.

I hate having a thought or an idea, but when I go to put it in words I run out halfway through.

WPMO:
My boss calls me and says, "I thought you said you could come in at 11 today?" Ummm...no considering I have class today. Then he says, "Well, okay, but when you come in we need to have a little chat." Why does he do this to me? He always says something like that and it gets me all nervous. I hate him sometimes.

Sprinkles, I'm not sure if there's a Public Utilities Commission in your state, but you might want to look into filing a complaint with them, as well as taking EJ's advice and contacting an attorney. Let 'em try the "your word against theirs" thing in Small Claims Court. The person who fixes the problem can testify as to how it might have been caused.

The one time that my husband and I filed a complaint with PUCO (Public Utilities Commission of Ohio) we got almost immediate results and we didn't have to pay a cent toward our problem.

and what do people think, why they have a garbage can in their hostel dorm? appearantly, the garbage can is decoration, as it is empty while all the garbage is lying all over the floor...

WPMO is once again reading a post by a young person, who I'm fairly certain English is their first language, and yet it's written so poorly I can barely 'translate'.

- People who leave their dogs in their back yards 24/7 and could not care less about them.

- Junk mail. . . enough with the fucking credit card applications!!

- People who think you should "go to church" and want to shove their religious beliefs down your throat (that's what I get for living in the anal bible belt).

- People who make me wait and then give stupid excuses for it.

Our computer deciding not to let the keyboard work  We tried a couple of spare ones and nothing so it's not the keyboard it's something in the computer.

Luckily I had brought my computer with me from NZ but it hasn't been used for 3 years  We'll have to get Gil's one looked at but I just talked to my son who's a bit of a computer expert and he says that it could be easier to buy a new one - bugger that!

Oh, Bandit, i am such an internet junkie that that would be very bad news for me!

Hey, only a week to go! Tons of good wishes to both of you! :rose:

WPMO: When people don't show up and they don't even call. Then you call them 15 minutes after their arrival time, just to make sure that they are all right, and no answer.

Show me where I was wrong, and i'll admit it.
Show mwe where my behaviour is bad and i'll accept it and even try to change it.
DON'T tell me what I'm thinking, you have no idea.
DON'T even insinuate let alone accuse me of lying. (Oh yes i lie as much as the next bloke), but I don't lie to my friends, that's the whole point of friends, someone you don't have to hide stuff from or bullshit too.
Anyway that one REALLY PISSES ME OFF.
I think I need classical music
