Things that piss you off?

Gee.. hmm.. I'll just try to list the ones that piss me off..like..

When my computer suddenly decides asking it to close a window browser is a gruesome task, and spends the next 5 minutes sputtering, freezing, and pretty much sounding like it's dying.

When my dog, who's been sleeping all evening, has to go pee at 2 in the morning, and refuses to go down the hallway alone.

Random people I talk to thinking it's OK to give me weight management advice.

Silly individuals who think TYPING IN ALL CAPS gets their point across much more clearly.

When people simply cannot retell an event, even if it happened five seconds earlier. (My mom does this for example. We'll be talking in the kitchen, and I might say something amusing [which I doubt. But when you're as old as her, everything's funny. =D] and then my dad would enter the room, and she'd retell it. But screw everything up/rearrange what I said/leave things out/etc. Then argue with me if I try to correct her.)

and..umm.... well, damn. I can't think of anymore right now. I'll get back to this. >.>

Hey Buxxom don't you hate it when your trying to look both ways to watch for oncoming traffic and all you can see is the side of a huge vehicle?

One of the things that piss me off is when I am in my vehicle, ready to pull out into traffic, and another vehicle (usually something huge like a pulls up alongside to try to sneak around me. Now, I and everyone else behind me must wait, because it would be unsafe to proceed. This seems to be happening more and more. Rudeness abounds.

Buxxom I drive a large Pick Up Truck but I try to be mindful of the issue you just mentioned and try to avoid causing problems to the best of my ability.

By the way to answer your sig line:

" WELL WE'RE BIG ROCK SINGERS
WE GOT GOLDEN FINGERS
AND WE'RE LOVED EVERYWHERE WE GO"

**when "christians" get pissy when you remind them that other religions were around before they started the slaughters...
** the commercialization of EVERY fricking holiday
**people holding/chatting on cell phones while drivng. hellooooo hands free headsets???
**why we HAVE to be subjected to x-mas music (depresses me personally)
**People that cut off tractor trailers (they stop like a frieght train people!!)
**that I just hate to clean in this season but I really want a clean place.
**even though my kids are teens in another province I am EXPECTED to take time off to go there.
then I sit & wait to see them once they are done work & dad is done with them...

I still have a sore throat.....after 4 days on penicillin
Make sure you COMPLETELY take all of the meds or you risk it becoming immune.
is it strep throat? if not, try pineapple juice COLD.
whenever I feel one starting I chill, shake & drink it & it goes away.
mind you if your throat is really bad it will HURT as you drink it as it is killing all those nasties clinging to the inside of your throat.
Ice on the outside for short times (5 min on 10 off) is good as well.
(Can we tell I don't take medication very often???)

Thanks Stegral at this point I will try anything :)
One more day of penicillin left, it is quite a high dose so if it was strep it surely would have knocked it by now. The doctor said there's a lot of throat infections going round at the moment  No sign of a cold, but I have mucus dripping down the back of my throat which I suspect is the cause of the problem.

I have honey and eucalyptus lozenges which are helping, plus trying to drink lots of water (ow)

I'll trade ya my dog for yours... I'm on the 3rd floor, and my dog wakes up at 3AM, 3:30AM, etc, to go pee (or sniff the air outside, sometimes I'm not quite sure). I absolutely REFUSE to take him on his "i gotta poo" walk until at least 4 AM.

What part of merging on a freeway do these idiots not understand???? You cannot "merge" with vehicles going 65 when you are only going at about 35....duh!

I hate being sick, I really do! I started with cold and fever on Christmas Eve, and have run the gamut of sniffles, fever, headache, congestion, sore throat, aches, and now the stupid crap has moved in to my EYES.... oh, this SO sux........

headaches

waking up with a headache..logging onto email and getting fucking chain letters about some dying child that depends on you forwarding the stupid letter to 12 people......grrrrrrrrrrr

  • Being in a real conversation and being put "on-hold" while he/she answers a trivial cellphone call, hangs up, continues the conversation for 2 minutes then answers another trivial cellphone call, putting me "on realtime hold" again.
  • Walking down the street following some idiot babbling into their hands-free phone like some mentally challenged idiot.
  • Being cut off by a jerk in a car who thinks talking on a cellphone is more important than driving safely....I should die for this person's right to act irresponsibly?...not!!!
  • People who use the phrase "pretty much" in every other sentence. It rivals the use of "like" 5-10 years ago.
  • As with others in this thread, people who want your opinion on something but want to argue about the answer...you asked for my opinion!...not a debate!!!

  • One of the places I deliver too requires a security clearance and an induction the first time you go there.
The last time I was there signing in, a group of contractors were going through the process, the security guard was in mid sentence when one of the contractor's phones went off, (no phones allowed in certain areas  ) he answered it and walked out the door to continue his conversation. To say the guard was pissed would be an understatement, especially considering the things he muttered under his breath. I was given clearance and did my delivery, when I returned to the security area the guard came out to collect my pass, I asked him how the induction was going. His reply, (with a huge grin) "Great, should be done in an hour or so."
That part of it usually takes 15 mins. :D

Yeah, that sucks, pretty much.

No no, they seek validation, not answers. ;)

I'm off work until January 3. However, my fiance not only has to work the whole time I'm off, but she has to work long hours... She might even have to work tomorrow.

Is it possible to go postal on a company that you don't even work for? :p

I'm also pissed off at the fact that this company not only takes her for granted, but totally shits on her...

They treat her like a lead - giving her extra work (even though she's already swamped with her normal work), having her help coworkers with their work (because they either don't know how to do their jobs or their just too lazy to do it), having her help the supervisors with THEIR work (because the supervisors don't know how to do their own jobs), etc. - but she doesn't get lead pay. They have her training temps, but she doesn't get trainer pay.

With all the extra things she does for the company, she's gotten screwed on portions of bonuses (because she didn't hit her percentages because of the extra work that they piled on her on top of her normal work), she's gotten screwed on special awards (because she doesn't kiss ass or suck dick like other employees), she just got turned down for a pay increase that she asked for (and was given a bullshit reason as to why), it's been hinted at that she didn't get the job transfer that she put in for, and one of her supervisors just had a meeting yelling at her and a handful of other employees about not meeting their percentages (even though she's swamped with extra work that interferes with her meeting them and she was only trained for less than a day on several new procedures).

They keep telling her that she's a valued employee and that they don't want to loose her but, their actions tell a completely different story. But, what they don't realize is that they've ALREADY lost her...

As soon as she gets her bonus (which I'm sure she'll get screwed out of part of it) and she sees how much her merit increase is (which I'm sure won't be enough), she's going to seriously start looking elsewhere. Hell, she's already submitted applications elsewhere. The only reason why she's stuck around this long is because we have a wedding to pay for in August.

I just deleted a nice long e-mail masterpiece by accident. One wrong click and it was gone. Pisses me off.

If it's OE it might not be gone, I'll bump the tricks thread and see if anyone knows howto recover it.

Because of the New Year I've had to do two nights in a row with not much sleep in between due to the heat, tonight coming home I was hit by a kangaroo, no damage to the van, can't say the same about the roo, that cost me time, instead of getting home at 2:00am it was 2:30am. As I came down our road I saw that our cows were out. By the time I had got them back in then walked the fence line to find and fix the break it was quarter to four and now I'm wide awake and I have to leave in three and a half hours. Somewhat pissed yes.

Glad to hear you are safe and the cows are back in! Does a roo do as much damage as a deer? *or could it possibly?*

Power nap. It's the only way to go in the circumstance.

Deer?? You should see what a Moose does.

I guess it's all relative, a roo's centre of gravity is a lot lower than a deer's, but yes they can do a hell of a lot of damge, particularly if it is a big one (6ft or more). In the vehicles I drive I'll take the roo over the deer (yes we have deer here dear). The one that hit me was a smaller one and I managed to avoid a head on as I was on the look out, so it ran into the wheel instead.

No thanks I'll pass, we don't have moose but I've seen what happens when cows meet car, so no thanks. ;)

Having my computer hijacked out from under me, I only stepped out of the room for a few minutes.
