Well I could give the long detailed explanation, but explanations piss me off (This is the what pisses you off thread you know, not the where the hell have you been thread... do we even have one of those?). I took some time off to pursue other interests, but your ever changing AV brought me back. More! Show more!

Honestly, I'm touched. Bobsgirl gave me a bunch of dancing bananas and you, boobies. What more can a Bob ask for?

:p

My husband just returned from the gas station. To fill up a six-gallon tank (for the mower, powerwasher, etc) and our mom-wagon, it cost $74!

It's a good thing we drive the small car more often.

I'm assuming gas costs around $3.36 per gallon or thereabouts in your part of the world?

i was reading a news article yesterday and they mentioned that gas was 45 cents in saudi arabia and about a quarter in venezuala. this isn't adjusted for average wage so it could be misleading... but still.

It was over $3, but I'm not sure by how much. The mom-wagon (Chrysler Pacifica) has a 23-gallon tank.

we haven't gotten up that high around here yet (mid 2.80's presently) but i'm expecting to be well over 3 by mid-summer. :(

We're still talking about gas prices, right? ;)

Somebody shoot me!!

Eilan, honey, do you need an intervention?

What pisses me off is how slow these boards have become. This place used to move along at a decent pace. Now I see snails passing us by....

It has indeed changed a lot. The group of regulars is considerably smaller and we have a lot of new HT-ers.

bobmi: sorry, will try to pop by more often. but since you mention...

PTM, consider trying either firefox or opera as an alternative: no pop-ups. :>

Hi ed!!!

Oh, I do use firefox but, I am still getting IE pop ups on the random occasion. Should I just delete IE from my computer? *not sure if that would create any problems or solve this one*

Hope you are doing well and keep that trout handy, that time of year you know? ;)

don't delete IE... it's the only way (at least as far as i know) that you can d/l stuff from the MS site (office and windows updates particularly).

edit to add: i use IE regularly and don't have a pop-up problem. i'm not sure if that's an IE7 thing or because i have the blocker on my isp software as well. in any case, if you're set up properly and still getting popups maybe try running an ad-aware scan or something like that to make sure you don't have any nasties.

hiya, PTM! :>

as EJ said, never delete IE--windows will get really cranky and ill-tempered if you do that. it often seems that MS apps live the credo "all for one and one for all".

been doing OK, work's been pissing me the hell off but hey, what can you do? :>

o yeah...

I was askered to delete it so I didn't. I do run spysweeper several times a week... any other advice? Most of the time it is one or two pop ups over several hours but the other day they just kept popping up! I had 20 in less than a minute and had to do a hard shut down.
