My roof is leaking. Anyone got about 4 thousand dollars I can use?
Ooh, bummer. But I'm sorry to say that I spent an assload of money--more than $4000--on my own roof.

Accountants (not even mine but he still caused me grief)

Those new cellphones that allow people to blast their music to the world.

And the people who sing along to them.

That my Dayquil won't keep me awake, my Nyquil won't help me sleep, and I seem to only be able to breathe through my left ear (it's a new talent brought on my this stupid cold).

I get annoyed when my customers argue with me on how I should be doing my job. I guess their "Ive-just-walked-in-off-the-street" layman knowledge is better than my 4 years in the job experience.

Oh another thing that boils my blood is customers who cough or sneeze on me or my counter without covering their mouth. DISGUSTING!!!

One of the rare occasions when I needed to use my iron and the darn thing is dead. It's not even an old iron; it's less than 5 years old. Darn, double darn.

Let me make sure my son is no where near there. In the 8th grade he came up with a brilliant idea while ironing his uniform shirts. Why not put the spray starch in the steam iron and eliminate one step. He did this after spending several minutes unclogging the bottle of spray starch.

Oh shit! I can assure you that there was nothing but water in my iron. Probably because I'm not brilliant enough to even think of eliminating a step.

I made him buy me a new iron with the money he earned playing for Sunday School. He got to keep the old iron and was not allowed to touch my new one!

Weeks like i'm having piss me off

Tuesday a 36yo nice guy died from an undiagnosed brain tumor which by the time they did find it it was to late, then Saturday night get a call that another friend got told Friday that if lucky he had 48 hours to live but died saturday night so get both lots of info * 48 hours to live & his death* within an hour.

Then comes today Sunday & a mate rings saying he's dropping by, he arrives & he tells me that he was ready to kill himself only a few hours ago so after many hours think he might change his decision & take off in a search to change his life & a new direction to the future.

Then i/we are trying to help a lady in an abusive marrage to get away but dosen't have the self esteem & confidence to take the step.

There is more but it's enough to just put the low lights of one very fucked up week for more than just me.

I'm pissed off, I can't take much more of all hese things happening to ppl I care about.

Plus the TV advertising for expensive gadgets and the latest fad plastic toys, so that parents feel the pressure when their kids say "I want that!" No wonder people are still paying off the previous Christmas

Says she who is glad her kids are all grown!

Getting away from xmas I had this thought in another thread.

From personal observations so many under 30s have no idea on spelling & I mean those with out dyslexia or noted learning disabilities these are the every day ppl out there in the buisness world because schooling has become lazy & no interest in teaching kids how to spell, just look at the number of ppl these days who can't make change or add up with out their cell phone or calculators or tills that do the thinking for them, this high tech world is breeding idiots !!!!!!!!

I think it's possible that the language is undergoing an evolution in response to technological advances. I'm sure that it underwent important changes when the printing press came into wide use and we stopped using nibs and quills so much. Also, spelling rules were kind of elastic. This time may be approaching again. This is kind of discouraging, because I'm an ace speller, and what good is that if no one gives a damn?

There are so many I couldn't list them all, but here are a few:

1) Commercials for prescription medications during the evening news.

2) People who voted for George W Bush because he was against gay marraige

3) People who voted for George W Bush.

4) Those who believe everything they hear on Fox News.

5) Professional athletes and movie/tv stars who earn more in a day than I'll
earn in my life urging me to contribute to their favorite charity.

6) Two hour tv movies with thirty minutes of commercials
