Things that Piss Me Off

Here we go....

People who ask dumb questions without thinking

People who talk on cell phones while driving and can't drive

ALL the damn reality shows

People who think that just because you write Erotica you don't have anything intelligent to say

Women who wear sandals and don't take care of their feet

Answering a phone and telling people where they called and then them asking where they called

Living in America, being American and having to speak another language at the fast food drive through, the bank and 7-11

NEXT:)

Now I'm confused, does that mean it's me, or here?

Hi BeeG.

rant....

Last summer I bought a new house in the burbs. Wanted to put up a fence, asked for and received a variance to put up a 4 foot fence. I wanted a 6 foot privacy fence, but the neighbors bitched, so I was lucky to get a 4 foot fence. I got the posts in last fall, and put in about 15 yards of dirt for the landscaping. Early this spring, I tore my ACL, and had to wait until 2 weeks ago to get surgery. I had not done anything more than put in the posts and dirt for this new fence. One of my neighbors (who obviously has nothing better to do) bitched to the building comission, and I was told I had 10 days to finish the project. Of course I asked for a 30 day extension, and got it, so I could take my time using crutches to build a fucking fence. Today, in 90 degree, 80% humidity weather, I was about 75% done with the fencing, when a building inspector pulls into the drive. He proceeds to tell me that he didn't get notified about my extension, and that my fence is too tall. I was initially told the height of a fence is measured by the length of the plank used, and with the raised bed of the landscaping (that they required us to add) our fence was going to be too tall.

Holy fucking shit on a stick!!!! I have invested more than $1000 in materials, and an assload of my time, my friends' time (thanks guys!), and I now might have to take down all the crossboards, and planks??? That will mean all the cross boards will be junked, and about 1/3 of the planks will be shot. That's only another $300-500 of materials......

I wish these people would make up their minds, and let me get on with making a good looking, quality fence.

What happened to owning your property? Making marked improvements to increase the value? I want a pool in that area of my yard, and this regulatory crap is seriously pissing me off.

thanks for listening.......grrrrrrr.......

McDonalds in my town..they never ever get a order right at the drive up window.

That's practically all Popeyes...their food is great, but when it comes to getting orders right, the staff tends to be out to lunch.

My uncle died last week. Because I had child-related things to do and Thursday and Friday, I didn't attend the visitation or the funeral.

Yesterday evening I learned from my mom that on the morning he died, my uncle woke up at about 5:30 am, gurgled, and fell out of bed. His wife covered him with a blanket and left him on the floor. When she finally woke up at 11:00, he was right where she left him, cold and stiff.

My uncle and I weren't close at all and I do, in fact, have quite a few negative memories of him, though he never did anything to me, personally. However, I'm a little outraged at his wife's actions (or lack of action?).

Well, Eilan, that has me scratching my head. She left him and went back to sleep? No disrespect intended, but that's very bizarre behavior.

That sounds bizar to me too, but there are people who are known for falling out of bed all the time. Don't know if that was the case with him, but if it were I could understand her.

Looking back I think she must feel guilty too.

I think I would never have left him on the floor. Dead or not, when on the floor you are going to get cold and stiff anyway, blanket or not. I would have woken him up, but who knows... maybe it was the 10.000th time already?

I guess not, èh?

Hmmmm....

Girl, 2, nearly drowns in family pool — for 2nd time

A 2-year-old Mesa girl nearly drowned in her great-grandparents' pool Thursday evening, seven months after she was pulled from the same pool.

The family had built a fence around the pool after a January incident, but this time the child escaped the house through a doggie door, according to Mesa Police.

When police arrived at the residence in the 1300 block of E. Fountain St., the great-grandfather was administering CPR to the toddler. He told police that he and his wife had tucked the child into bed but discovered her missing about five minutes later. The great-grandfather later found the child in the pool, pulled her out and began CPR. Authorities arrived at about 8:20 p.m. and treated the child, who had labored breathing.

The child was transported to Banner Desert Medical Center and remained overnight for observation.

In the January incident the child ended up in the pool after a family member left the back door unlocked, police said. The mother, 20, said she had been folding clothes while her daughter watched television. After 10 minutes the mother said she noticed her child was missing and checked the pool. The great-grandfather heard the mother scream and administered CPR after pulling the child from the pool. The child was alert and breathing by the time she was transported to the hospital.

The child and her mother live with the great-grandparents, police said. The case is being referred to Child Protective Services for investigation, according to police.

I want to see this pool fence for one thing. I know kids are clever, but twice ...

This whole pool fence thing is dangerous because people actually rely on it and never look again if their children are safe. Understandable, sort of, but the horror stories, like this one, are numerous. And children are very resourceful when they want something.

In France some form of security for your pool (fence, an alarm) is mandatory and if you don't have one you can get a substantial fine. After you spend large amounts of money for this security you still have to pay attention because nothing thus far has proven to be solid and secure enough.

This story is one of the examples. An alarm is often chosen if France. But with the Mistal winds and everything no one pays attention anymore after an alarm goes off for the zillionth time for no reason. Only to find someone is drowning for real the zillion-and-one'th time
