In a way I feel sorry for bullies I mean what must it feel like eventually to know nobody likes you and given a chance won't come anywhere near you, although there must be something missing in their lives to make them act that way. I used to know a bully online (in fact he stalked me for awhile and that's no fun let me tell you) I don't think he was right in the head myself he used to think something then he was convinced it was true and then pass on that absolutely true thing to others and because he seemed such a nice guy they believed the most atrocious lies. But you see to him they weren't lies that's why he could tell them so convincingly. He's still out there and I presume still blackening my good name unless he's found some other poor soul (which he probably has because that's how he gets his kicks) and unless you know what he's like he's such a great guy eh?
 
As I was saying... mirages... and they can appear so real and loom so large and you can get lost in the wilderness, for years. Probably many don't come back.

and some mirages are demoted as such by the individual. A mirage could be a reality, but deemed unattainable and unrealistic by the individual who has limited thelmselves by either low self-confidence or the words of others who see the vehicle as a mirage.

a. I'll certainly receive the sentiment in the best light, however since you put it that way the virtual cup is best since missus hmmnmm would not see it the same way. Besides, apparently I'm not one of those men whom age is kind to. I don't mean the vitality because everything's still a-ok there, viagra hasn't made any money from this house, but physically... blech... so you'd be disappointed. Really.

b. All this about Survivor is partly responsible for this latest quandary bout; guess you'll have to break out the whip... October is the deadline right? Plenty of time... but I'm just not feeling it now. Can't say why. Just... not. Who knows the mood won't strike tomorrow? or next week. Won't say.

a. I certainly wouldn't want to upset missus hmmnmm! never that! Not that it matters, but I generally date older men. My personal opinion is that men are usually boys until they are at least 40. My daughter's father must be in his mid to late 60's now. I really don't care in that case, as long as the checks keep coming.

b. Survivor is partly responsible? really? I must be more clueless than I thought. Personally, I whole-heartedly look forward to participating in the poetry survivor as a way to learn and practice new forms. Just keep an open mind to it <sheathing the riding crop in my kinky boots for now>

You ever do that list exercise, like what to do with your life? You know, on one list are all your abilities or talents, every little thing, and the other is what you enjoy, without worrying whether you're any good at it?

Somewhere around here I think I read where you said you are blond. I was surprised.

Yes, I am blonde... great shade.. i think it's called champagne or something. Yes, it's blonde naturally, but it's a very weird shade, like reddish, dark blonde, though sometimes people describe it just as blonde, I think it's more of a light auburn or something. My sister used to refer to our natural haircolor as dishwater. Not that you were THAT interested in my haircolor. LOL

Why are you surprised? huh?

I don't think I ever did such a list, though I am sure the topic has been covered many times over in my journals. So, have you done such a list? What epiphany did it birth?

I'll confess I spent few nights agonizing over the color of your hair, but if asked, I wouldn't have suspected blonde. But the dirty dark dishwater blonde... that fits a mental pictorial perception.

Really it shouldn't be surprise, weird reddish dark would be the perfect color for one of Lit's higher echelon Cult Leaders. That's what you are. Ha. And you're very good.

And on the list thing, music always tops the Interest column and writing (any kind) is several notches lower. On the Ability Column it's pretty much reversed. Which I'll not claim says anything significant in itself.
 
One that keeps coming back is something like a comedic melodrama with music and sound effects. It's an exciting idea to sit and think about but to actual begin something and bring it all together... I think it would be fucking fun. Fucking, loads of fun and there would be no limit to the possibilities. But where to start and what to do... it would need some careful planning. Script. Never written script before. Maybe someday

I could see that about you. I love music, but I was never any good at making it. I played the flute for years when I was young in addition to compulsory piano lessons. Believe it or not, I was in the church choir for many years. Music is still important to me. I play music while I paint. Anything with feeling.. NIN, classical music, African tribal music, Nickelback.. music is very powerful fuel.

I guess my list would be um, pretty much the same on both sides. What does that say about me? Perhaps that I fear failure? I enjoy what I'm good at and avoid what I'm not. Basically, my list would be anything creative (from art to writing to scrapbooking, anything creative at all) and learning new things (quantum physics, literature, foreign languages..).

Once upon a time, I got it into my head that I was going to learn to write music. Not lyrics. Actual music.. and classical at that. It's something that is well beyond my capabilities. Another mirage. But, a pleasant mirage that comes to visit sometimes.
 
Is this a private party or can anyone sneak in for a snuggle and a break from writing more poems in one day than I've done in a long while?
Are you casting aspersions about blondes?

The more the merrier. I've written a few today too. I'm still waiting for feedback on the Pantoum I wrote today. Now, I'm trying to switch gears and think of an idea for a Valentine's Day story. I've been trying to think of one for a few days now. Everything is coming up cliché. I am SO not feeling Valentine's Day this year-- and my story will probably reflect that. I'm feeling a V-Day Massacre story. LOL Perhaps, some demented non-consent...

Looks right to me but I'm the last person to ask lol I'm in two minds to ask about a Haiku but I don't want to fill the thread up with my keep asking lol are either of you two any good at Haiku?

Well really to encapsulate the whole shebang in one word would be Sound. And, I mean, fuck... show me the end. There is none. Poetry could be included in the world of sound, too. But yes, it's such a thrill to swoon and fall prostrate to the great wonderful Sound... or, do something more approachable, like grab a pen and paper, and scratch out some poetry or at least poetic prose or... this.

oh, of course it had to have a "gray area" word. The only word that concerns me is "rests." To me, "rests" is a personification. In haiku, things and animals cannot have any human attributes. To me, if something is resting, it is regaining strength. Now, I seem to be somewhat picky about word choice for haiku. Others may not see a problem with it at all.

Overall, I like it very much!

Is this for Survivor? If so, do you mind if I ask which trigger? I'm still trying to get a grip on the triggers. I do want to look at the triggers and pull one for haiku since haiku can only be about nature. We have a limited number of triggers about nature.

ETA:
To play it safe, I would probably use "sets" instead of "rests," but you may want to post it for opinion in the survivor workshop. Feel free to include my concern over "rests." They may feel differently.

God knows I've just mucked it up already only used one word from a batch that all had to be used and I don't know what to do ..... it's a Clerihew do I just not count it and carry on or what?

I edited my suggestion for "rests" in the haiku.

If the other words would not fit within the clerihew without feeling forced, then I would scrap that one for now.
 
at the risk of leading you astray, my understanding of haiku is to present the most vivid in the simplest terms.
