Ok new discovery for me. For those with waterbeds....the problem of finding places to tie the sub down is perplexing at best. So my brain was working overtime this weekend...
To fix this problem, I took 4 lengths of rope, tied a loop in one end (this can be used to attach a clip to from a cuff) and used my staple gun to attach the other end to the underside of the platform. Our bed has openings at all 4 corners so I ran the rope down the corners between the mattress and the siderails. My staple gun has been used by me many times to re-upholster my dining room chairs. The staples should not be long enough to go all the way thru the plywood.
If I get a chance I'll try and take some pics of this. Oh and when not in use, our ropes go between the mattress and siderails out of sight.

Okay, I haven't seen or heard of anything like this yet, so I'm eager to get opinions on it. M has a rubber flogger. The fall actually contains lots of very thing, round rubber strips. It is unknotted. He said it had a sting to it, but we haven't played with it. I was curious, so he lightly used it against my thigh. The "sting" was almost non-existant, but then, he was being gentle.
Anyone have experience with rubber floggers? What are they like? Anxious to try it, but just a bit fearful at the same time!

Okay, then.
Floggers come in thuddy and stingy.
"Thuddy" kinda feels like you're having the wind knocked out of you. The blow is spread over a usually quite large area and, if done kindly, you can end up feeling like you've had an incredibe (but deep) massage.
"Stingy" is more intense. You scream, sometimes, with stingy cuz, well, they sting. They can edge into pain. Stingy floggers are usually a more focused blow, one delivered to a smaller and more specific area.
It's important here to note that *any* flogger can cause pain, or bring pleasure. Even those floggers labelled as "stingy", if used gently (as in the case of the barely-felt touch on your thigh), can bring exciting and wonderfully pleasant sensations.
Rubber floggers are well-known to be stingy.
Ask him to go easy.
He probably will anyway.
He knows you're kinda new to this
Dom/mes are well-known for not wanting to break thier toys, you know, or send them running scared into the night.

Once again, thanks, cym! Yes, I think if he does decide to use it, it will be gentle or used sparingly. We've both decided there is no hurry - it's more fun to explore and discover. Start small and build on that until he knows my tolerance level. Then we can work on pushing certain limits. Until then it's a voyage of discovery - and I do so like to travel!

I finally got round to completing the second flogger, taking a picture of it and downloading it to the hard drive!
This one was made from one of the belts that you can find in the teenage clothes shops ... you know, the latest craze that we remember so well from our own teen. (Well, some of us do, anyway!)
The 12 falls were glued to the handle (from a screwdriver minus the blade bit) and then made secure by some leather thong that I had left over from my Scouting days.
The handle was then covered in a piece of the suede leather I had left from my first flogger.
It is much stingier (is that a word?) than the other one ... and compliments it quite nicely. Robuck gave it a nice workout on our anniversary!

I'm still debating on custom making the hemp floggers like what I posted. Well... I can't offer TOO much variety, but I can do them in natural, blue, black and red... *grins*

The stinginess/thuddiness of floggers can be adjusted somewhat by shaping the ends of the tresses. A more rounded end will make it a bit thuddier, while a sharply angled end will sting more.
Rubber floggers can be very intense. Has anyone seen those koosh ball floggers, which have rubber balls on the ends of the tresses? Although they are rubber, they are extremely thuddy.
