Trump Captures Nicolas Maduro

Venezuela wasn’t a war, it was an arrest. Sure, a little air support was needed to clear the avenue of entry, but at the end of the day, it was less about firefights and more about handcuffs. A surgical strike followed by a polite, if heavily armed, invitation to surrender. After the swift exit, the Venezuelan people danced in the streets, probably more from oppressive relief than rhythm. Meanwhile, the American left, dripping with hatred for Trump and everything America was founded on, rushed to Maduro’s defense with the kind of theatrical wailing and collective bladder failure they reserve for their more unhinged emotional defeats.
I haven’t seen anyone defend Maduro, except the people Trump left in charge of Venezuela.
If the goal was to end narco-terrorism why are all of Maduro’s buddies still in power in Venezuela?

We're occupying their country.
Maybe not fully with troops on the ground, but we're running it.

And troops will be there shortly.
Right now, Marco Rubio will be in charge in the interim, most likely until the narco-terrorists in the upper levels of their government can be rooted out, allowing the people of Venezuela to choose a new leader through free elections. We'll have to see how this evolves in the weeks and months to come. It will be a new beginning for Venezuela, a historic turning point for Venezuela. I will predict right now that the people of Cuba will follow the same path. It looks like the end of the road for their communist system.

We're occupying their country and taking their oil.

What's new is that the US rules their country.

And we'll see how many in the country will be ok with that.

You are too ignorant, and likely too young, to possess even a working grasp of the law, American history, or the political realities of the present moment. What you offer instead is confidence unburdened by knowledge, opinion masquerading as insight, and slogans recycled as thought. You mistake exposure for understanding and volume for authority, and then wonder why reality refuses to conform to your expectations. This isn’t a debate; it’s Literotica cosplay, and you’ve been stripped of your Tutu and all you have left are your pointe shoes.

Not really, As I said in post # 15:

We’ll likely take the oil that was effectively stolen by Chavez and Maduro from Chevron, oil that they had lawful contracts to produce. Without Chevron’s capital, technology, and expertise, that oil would still be underground. Pretending otherwise is historical revisionism masquerading as sovereignty.

They have no government.
Their territory is under our control.

Lol.... we're no better than Russia has been with Georgia and Bellarus.

Pretending otherwise is laughable.

We can't invade and occupy every broken country. We have never done that successfully.

China has stolen IP worth 10X the amount of oil that Chavez took. Is Delta Force going to kidnap Jinping and try him in court?

No one is taking anything until the infrastructure gets upgraded which no company is signing up for due to the political instability. Once again Trump pulls a shoot-ready-aim without a fucking plan…. Captain Chaos strikes again. Meanwhile the world, once again, shakes their head at the idiocy of this President as he further destabilizes the world order. He is a one man cluster fuck…..

You’re sadly mistaken. Chevron held a legitimate contractual agreement with Venezuela that, until Hugo Chávez’s rise, helped make Venezuela the wealthiest country in South America. But Chávez and his Cuban-backed communist cronies had other plans; they seized American assets and trampled on property rights, dismantling an economy that once thrived into one of the poorest in the region, mirroring the disastrous Cuban communist model. It's either a lack of memory or simple education that has condemned you to the state of ignorance of the historical reality you so often display.

Yes, there is a legal challenge for Chevron to make. Last I checked, the government doesn't retaliate for private businesses.

Their government changed course.

I know what happened. It wasn't American oil, it was Chevron's oil.

Someone better take little Marco to rehab. He's out there flailing, all coked up and talking shit he's totally clueless about.

That’s an interesting point you bring up. Now I’ll bring up that Chevron donated over 2 million dollars to Trump.

Wow, your ability to churn out predictable leftist drivel is truly impressive. “Captain Chaos,” huh? That’s pretty rich coming from someone who believes Biden's indecision, endless mumbo jumbo, and hand-wringing constituted leadership. Meanwhile, Trump actually acts, something you’d recognize if you ever bothered to look beyond your keyboard. The world shaking its head? Maybe they’re just trying to figure out how one man can expose the rot and corruption while your crowd’s favorite leaders just shuffle papers and sell out their countries. Keep crying into your latte, your meltdown is the real clusterfuck here.

PS: Apparently, you are ignorant of the latest quote from the Chevron Corporate spokesperson: "With more than a century in Venezuela, we support a peaceful, lawful transition that promotes stability and economic recovery,” adding, "We’re prepared to work constructively with the U.S. Government during this period, leveraging our experience and presence to strengthen U.S. energy security.”

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

You really are dumb. Look up what Smedley Butler had to say about that. Your dorkness is acute.
Their government changed course.

Same difference.

With your logic, China has a right to invade the US because we blocked Xioami from valid contracts they had to sell their equipment or because we seized Chinese company owned farmland.

American companies aren't owned by our government. Their contracts are a legal dispute.

Same difference.
No, it's not. The government of every country has a right to protect their interests or change their economical direction.

If they do so in a breach of contract, then they have legal recourse to pursue.

You really think you know anyone who disagrees with you?! "someone who believes"... And you know this how? Your incorrect and inappropriate assumptions precede you in these forums... Clearly your TDS won't allow you to recognize any argument that doesn't fit neatly into your world view. How unfortunate honey....

Clearly your biased brain doesn't recognize that Chevron quote as political mumbo-jumbo (no doubt to appease your Daddy!) with absolutely zero commitment!

You had no viable argument. You posted an intellectual bowel movement, loud, messy, and clearly the result of poor mental digestion, then stood back as if the stench itself were a substitute for reasoning. The only thing you demonstrated was an impressive confidence in saying nothing at all, padded out with goofy noise and self-satisfaction.

The statement wasn’t made out of confusion or impulse, but out of a perfectly rational desire to reclaim property that was unlawfully seized, and which has only now become recoverable thanks to the very man you and your cohort reflexively despise. Your outrage isn’t principled; it’s performative. You’re less offended by expropriation than by the fact that someone you loathe might actually be undoing it.

It's a good thing that trump personally stopped all fentanyl from coming from Venezuela, so now he can conquer their people and steal their oil.
