Happy May Day Monday!!! Slept most of the night through. Not much cat action. There's this kitten sitting mext to mah chair here. The canned food pair have eaten. Kibble girl will be along when it suits her. The front p[orch cat gets fed on departure.


We got high 60s and 50 for temps this week. Looks sunny.


And there be plumbers coming this morning to start to disconnect stuff. Wat will beat them to work.

I'm up.
I'm at work.
We had an early morning delivery (4 am) and I worked solo.
The driver arrived and started talking politics and I politely as I could shut him down and focused on getting him unloaded and gone.
He kept talking, and talking and even got in the way of the forklift.
I was very tempted to show him why that was a bad thing but prison orange jumpsuits aren't anyone's fashion choice.
All before 6 am and my second cup of coffee.
Polite went out the window.
He sulked and said a few things. I got the work done and sent him on his way.
I also called his boss and let him know the score.
I have my second cup of coffee now and the minions will be here in about an hour.
Where is Wat's josh fire and does Johnny's French Vanilla stuff have magical properties to block stupid people?

French Vanilla creamer again. The black has been playing hell with ma belly of late. Probably 12 cups is getting to be too much now that I'm approaching middle aged.

I'll take on the burden of keeping this thread alive...

I bought two cherry trees yesterday: A Bing and a Stella. When unloading the Stella (in the snow) I noticed that it's not very sturdy - like the tap root is broken. I'm thinking I may go back and get another one. I hate to waste $31, but I hate to waste the effort of digging a hole for a dying tree.

Also got some Peonies and Hydrangea. Friday before my trip, I'll be tilling up the side yard and broadcasting some wildflower seeds. About 20 pounds of them. I still need a truck load of dirt for my garden, but that'll wait until I get back. Also got the hanging pots full of flowers for the front and back porches.

And another project for later in the month is to weld up a trellis for the Morning Glory flowers. I have a little flux-core wire welder, which is good for little things that don't involve life-safety welds.

Good morning folks! Can we still say folks? I don't wanna be deplatformed...oh wait. Anyway, in BT's world: I have this big goofy dog that we agreed to let live here back in the fall when his previous hoomans could no longer take care of him properly. You see, he's a bit vicious. Well, to clarify, he is if the entity in question is a bumblebee or a butterfly, otherwise it's all good. But I find it amusing to watch him chase said bumblebees and butterflies. He's also awestruck by birds of the crow variety, but he hasn't figured out how to chase them effectively. The horses, which he would love to herd to who knows where, ignore him. This is just as well as I don't believe he has a plan as to what to do should they accept his direction.
Unlike JS, we have no snow or ice, and I'm quite thankful for that.

Home. Heading out innaminnit for Taco Tuesday with the Tuesday gang. We have a couple of newbies, so that's nice.


Wat had a windy post this morning, hit "post reply" and Manu(re)'s hamster ate my motherfucking homework, the little cunt. So all y'all got was a well wish for the day. So it goes.

Happy Wednesday!!! Slept okay. Cats inside are fed. Took up the outside food last night so as not to feed wandering raccoons. Outside kitty can eat while the sun is up. He'll be fine. Besides, that will encourage nocturnal hunting of little nasty rodent thingies out there.


Gonna be a touch cooler today. I should have to jobsite mostly to myself, save for wire butchers and tenants. That'll work. It'll be nice to get electricity in the office trailer because there's a lovely wee fridge in one of the units which can have a new home there. Then I can keep my tuna salad on the job. And it'll be an excuse to score a microwave, too.


And maybe a coffee pot . . . .
