TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

Now there's a wench what owes us a visit.

Happy Monday!!! Well, somehow, inexorably, another weekend has bitten the dust and we're back to the workweek. Fortunately, Wat's weeks grind on him much less than they formerly did, and those ground him less than what had come before. So maybe it's a pattern.

Slept decently. The inside cats have eaten, coffee is ready, and the weather is checked. Looks like t-storms this afternoon. "There is a marginal chance of severe weather." Yesterday, there was a severe chance of marginal weather, but they didn't say so. Funny bit was, working outside, it was hot, but the humidity was down and the breezes blew, so it didn't suck.

Talked to the neighbors yesterday about the outside cat. They call her Larry. She sleeps on their front porch furniture but eats my food. They can't touch her, but Wat can.

On this day in 1900, The Reichstag approves new legislation continuing Germany's naval expansion program, providing for construction of 38 battleships over a 20-year period. Germany's fleet would be the largest in the world.

That would have been scary for the Brits.

I got the new eBike all put together. The instruction manual wasn't much help. Lots of trial and error, but I'm an engineer by education and got er done. I put about 5 miles on it, just putzing around town.

Then the sky opened up and the sweet baby jebus finally gave us some rain. This morning is one of those slow steady rains that will make my maters and pickles grow.

New counter-top being installed tomorrow. Having a lady friend is a lot of work.

I thought that she got promoted to fiancee.

Wat prefers the kitten. She's much less expensive.

Now, Morticia the bike, on the other hand, she's a high-dollah ho.

Fiancée sounds so pretentious.

And French. It sounds French. The only thing worse than the French are the French Canadians.

Wife-to-be then. I knew and loathed a Fransh Canadiddian once. He mocked my pronunciation of some word or another from his filthy language, so I sang a few bars of Deutscheland Uber Alles just for him.

I still prefer the kitten.

Home. We were to have a training thingie at 1530 but it got canceled at lunchtime. Oh well.

Some tenant at the downtown building hung a clothes hanger over a sprinkler head and broke the damned thing. It worked as designed and inundated the floor and whatever else below. The regional management woman who fell under Wat's spell last week when she came to visit wants me to go down there and look at the repairs needed and (I presume) make a list. Odd she'd ask for me - not in her department - instead of one of hers.

Oh, and the company sent me a survey. How do I like it? How was training? Anything we could have done better? How are you fitting in? Does your manager he'p you? I gave them 9.75/10. Really, it couldn't be any easier and more pleasant.

Happy Tuesday!!! We're setting sail for a busy but decent day. Slept okay. Indoor cats have eaten and are settling in grooming. There looks to be a severe risk of marginal weather today, and actually for the rest of the week. I could turn on the a/c, but I still haven't, and I'm not going to until it really wants to be on. Or needs. It all depends.

Coffee is hitting the spot . . . .

The Arctic Circle isn't particularly close to us here.

Went over to look at yesterday's flood. Met the contractor, and I didn't like the guy very much. Just didn't feel him. Maybe it was me. Anyway, we looked at what was there. It got awfully soggy. Damned crackhead broke a sprinkler head and then left. Oops. Anyway, when I left, I called my boss, and 12 seconds later, the regional rang in. So we had a three-way. Phonecall, ya pervs!!! She knows the guy and has worked with him before, so I get that. If she likes him, Wat don' need to go there. Anyway, the bossman backed up everything i said. That was a nice feeling.

And my local box store has excellent service. Ordered two units of wood. They'll be here tomorrow morning. w000t!!!

Home. Got hung up in a traffic fuck-up. Went straight to catch up with the Tuesday gang. Taco Tuesday was a fail. They brought everyone's food except mine. So I came home and will graze a bit.

See that Cormac kicked it. Gawd, they fucker didn't use conversational punctuation. Hard as fuck to read.

Cool enough I don't need the AC but I have fans going, it's so humid the moisture in the air clings to your skin right now.
The crap in the warehouse has been sorted into three piles, one to be donated, one to keep and one to keep topping up the dumpster. I was going to bring in the floodlights and start cataloguing the repairs and changes I want but work has to be caught up first. Since there is still lots to do on the last building the contractor can wait for now and honestly, I would like to get those other units finished and rented before starting on these.

What is not amazing is that humans will conjure up some bullshit that isn’t real and then stake their belief system on it. What is amazing is how quickly they can do it.

I'm getting so I like this batch of plumbers. The guys are decent, not bad to have around, and seem to be doing good work. Same for the electricians.

So, maybe, and I don't want to jump the gun, I need to start referring to them as "the guys" or "the workers and not "the fucking weasels" . . . .

And I don't have to cuss the HVAC guys in Portuguese. Truth is, I used to cuss them in German because it sounds more like Death is imminent.

No surprises there. Generally.

Home. Grazing on leftovers.

It's a writing kind of day. Not a fan of writing. I love having written. Always have.

Wat Tip: don't engage in arguments with people who aren't present.
