There is, I can assure you. 1947 Packard Clipper coupe. This will be the third engine I have of this type. When stuff has been sitting around for decades, sometimes something can be wrong and you don't see it until things like pressure tests and the like. So, since the price is right, it's a must-do acquisition.

Happy Friday!!! Slept okay. Early morning chores knocked out. "They" were calling for three hot days at the beginning of next week, but it looks like we're down to one now. We should be close to done with the venting today, and they blocking and windows sealing, too. Things are making headway on Wat's job, thanks be to Allah!!!


There may be work tomorrow, but it could be worse.


Regardless, there will be coffee first.

Looks like I'm working tomorrow. First Saturday for this job. No matter, we're playing a bit of catch-up right now. The wood butcher Latinos are fucking up a bit. There's a pissing contest going on in their company, and it ain't my shit. I probably should have called El Jefe long before now and said something charming to the guy. Kinda like when Tony Soprano went to see Coco. I know, but it's a nice fantasy.

It'll be fine. I juggled my vacation at the end of the month and got a block of time off. Covered and approved. Cunt ask for gooder.

Wood butchers are making headway - slowly. Which is better than not here and getting nothing done.


Made a schedule for the next three weeks. It's got a bit of wishing and hoping in it. Still, it looks like it can be done.

I did a tomato thing for dinner, I thick sliced some big ones, put some minced jalapeno and garlic on them with a touch of salt, then fresh basil and a little grated cheese, a couple minutes under the broiler and I was set.

This has been one of those weeks, I'm glad the weekend is here.

Brought a couple tomatoes to the cabin, but someone forgot the cheese on the counter at home.....

Home. Wolfing down the last tomato from the fridge. Good thing that I'll travel past the vegibble stand on the way home toorrow. Maybe I'll score a couple of squash and saute them. We'll see.


Wat is supposed to have this crew through Wednesday. It seems we'll have some more stuff to do if we can play our cards right. Insh'Allah we hang drywall starting Friday next.

I need to take a weed whacker and fire to the garden that got neglected this year.

I need to restart my grow area in the basement. I even have a little light for herbs. Either that or sell all of it.

Happy Saturday!!! Slept okay. Cats are good. Coffee is decent. Cooler today, hotter tomorrow and Monday, and then a touch cooler next week and a bit more the following week, like maybe Autumn could be headed this way.

One issue with a fenced in garden, the corners sometimes don't get checked as well as they could. I planted mortgage lifter tomatoes in one of those corners and yesterday while weeding found some huge tomatoes that should have probably been picked a lot sooner than they were, I will say they tasted amazing and the little human loved them too.
I don't expect any heat warnings, we should be high 80s to mid-90s right now, we're struggling for mid-70, it's not only me and the farmers commenting now.

The crew did a nice job with their first door yesterday, so I got them some mo'bettah screws and they're going to chug along on those. I'm making a list to call their jefe with. I need my work done.
