TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

Actually, I had the fish at the recommendation of one of my tablemates, but it was at the Mexican joint.

It was a good choice.

Oh look, it's Whore O'Clock . . . .

Happy Monday!!!

This is the one that doesn't feel Monday. First, we worked yesterday, and second, there's no travel involved. Not today.

Sleep was adequate. There are no more Hallmark Holidays for awhile yet, just Independence Day, and that's for real and is incorporated into vacation this year.

And the coffee has finished gurgling and is ready . . . .

That's what I'd do.

I had that awake in the middle of the night shit again.

It wasn't so bad, actually. I had forgotten to set the alarm.

So I was up early . . . .

This is the very perfection of man, to find out his own imperfections.

~Saint Augustine

Silly little shit.

Here, let's bitch about Augustine's god that he believed in.

Nah, maybe not, so I'll go find weasels and bitch about them. ;)

Both good articles.

As to the first, anyone that has bothered reading the Founders would be well aware of the danger of big government.

I would say that I'm amazed, although no longer, at how cheaply so many are willing to sell themselves off. They stand around with their alms bowls making contented noises every time the government drops a penny in not realizing that they are in reality selling themselves into what can only kindly be called indentured servitude and effectively signing away their constitutional rights in so doing.

Now, I don't care if an individual wants to barter their rights and their lives away. "Just sign here and your college will be paid for." In a free nation the individual should be able to enter into such agreements. But when those individuals gather together and conspire to barter away my rights and freedoms then that is a step too far. The exercising of your rights and freedoms does NOT grant you license to infringe on mine.

Just read another article that pretty much blames the 17th Amendment, as I do
for the fine mess we've gotten in to.

Fascinating stuff:

The silence about black slavery in the Arab world
https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/the-silence-about-black-slavery-in-the-arab-world/
"I became interested on the subject while watching Tidiane N’Diaye, a French-Senegalese Anthropologist, talk on French TV about his latest book titled: The veiled genocide (French: Le génocide voilé, 2008). Until then I had no idea that systematic black slavery in the Arab world ever existed, let alone lasted for more than 1400 years and did millions of dead.
How is it possible that such a monstrous event happened (and still happens in some parts of Africa) and yet unlike the trans-Atlantic slave trade which has been dissected under every angle possible, it was and largely still is, unknown by the public?"

The controversy about Americans Black reparations, which prompted the blog isn't my focus. The US history is complicated, I'm neutral.

I just find it fascinating that so many White historians and anthropologists decided to hold this matter
(that it's not just Whites who enslaved Blacks, in fact Middle Easterners and Asians were 100 times more violent)
taboo ,
and to focus only on oppression of Blacks at the hands of Whites.
And that it took a Black anthropologist, not a White one to try to correct the stigma against Christian Whites.

And notwitstanding their other history,
it was an Christian Protestant who initiated the anti-slavery movement in England.

Home. Yeah, I saw about Wat on his Day of Sadness. I made a mental note of it, and I might well actually remember it for the future.

Gummint skulduggery it was!!!

The weasels were very productive. Sad news is, Allah isn't being a team player this week. Looks like they may get rained out staring tomorrow during the day for the rest of the week.

So Wat may never get away from this motherfucker . . . .

Two steps forward and another back.

Someone around there was praying to Allah for rain and you lost the coin toss.

Actually, I didn't bother Allah about the weather.

That bit is acceptance of what I can't change. It just is what it is.

Meanwhile, I made good headway on the bits that are mine to do.

And it gives me more time there to flirt with the girls. Did I mention the two waitresses with USDA Prime Culo??? We're talking table grade here . . . .

Hey, looks like I beat everyone up.
Woke up to more rain.

Tragedy on Broadway, no one wants to see
the Bill and Hill show...
