Some days, the list seems to have gotten a bit longer.

Fuck it, Wat'll do it.

After his Beauty Rest . . . .

You really have no choice if you want to get your ass out of there.

Mid 90's here today, which is about normal. The Monsoons are trying to kick in. Should hit about July 4th. It's a weather tradition.

Good day to get out early and pick blackberries.

I might thaw out some grilled pork streak for a nice stir-fry.

Good morning.

Got my Sat. AM shopping to do. Then some tidying up to do around here. Then I can start messing it up again. *chuckle*

I prefer to shop early weekday mornings.
Walmart, Walmart Grocery, and Sam's have their manager's specials marked down.

Decent savings to be had.

Today's topic: Euro Heatwave

It seems like almost yesterday, people were dying in French hospitals because of the heat in August. It makes me wonder how much of a significant record this really is...

Monday after a holiday is better because they stock up on the meats they do not want to run out of.

Good Morning Threadsters!

The birds are happy, based on the decibel level of their tweets, and I have coffee...and a barn full of the sweetest smelling hay.

lol

We have so many things in bloom.
Soon the crepe myrtle will begin to burst out.

A flower garden that reaches the upstairs balcony. Beautiful sight.

My garden plot was a swamp up until about 2 weeks ago, so, no garden this year. And I haven't done much in the form of flower gardening either. Food prices will be through the roof this year.

All my plants are doing well so far. And (knock on wood) I haven't managed to kill my Rosemary yet. I still haven't figured out what to use the Cinnamon Basil with. Maybe I'll use it on everything until it hits the right note. The use of the Thai Basil on pizza is a marriage made in heaven.

When I get back from the market I'm going to water the lawn for an hour. Still recovering from the irrigation ditch being out of commission for damn near a month. But it's getting there. I'll chuck some fertilizer on it first.

My peas have done well and I planted some more asparagus and it's coming up.

The store-bought plants, aren't doing as well, but the danged weeds are!

Most of our color is from bulbs or very hardy self-seeding annuals like mums...

But they also seem to be partially perennial...

Hmmmm...

I have a killer crop of potatoes out in the compost pile...

I have a volunteer tomato at the corner of the house.
How it got there...

Home/motel. Fucking computer hijinx. Honestly, there's a brand new 4# hammer in the car. I just figured that my chance of getting something decent here wasn't too likely, so . . .

maybe it's time to spring for an apple. But if so, then what, and where? It's not like I need a hotrod. I don't know.

There's a sewer leak under building B. As in, leaking sewage. Kinda like the smell of dope, nothing else is quite like it, and nasal memory identifies it instantly. Not a chance anything will happen before Monday, and what's-name won't fix it because it'll be someone else's fault.

So I guess you could say it was a shitty day.

Think: HfD hot rod parts.

It seems that I need to upgrade the ignition.

Then some bigger jugs are in order.

I wonder whom that will confuse . . . .

No, not you. I reckoned as much, and I'd worry otherwise.

I might even lose sleep.

I found a book written a few years ago where the guy waxes poetic about the engine I have and how best to toss some goodies at it and make it burn the tires off. There's all sorts of stuff available out there, and he has a recipe, too. And it can be done in stages. And at home, mostly.

All of these things are right up my alley.
