TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

I suspect I drink too much beer. I'm going to have to find a brown liquor that won't cause me to make funny faces when I drink it.

12 year old Glenmorangie is quite nice. On my birthday I had a single shot of Jameson Black Barrel because they didn't have Jameson reserve and the black Barrel which is more expensive is probably technically a better whiskey and got me far drunker but it wasn't as smooth as Jameson Reserve is.

I think in the more expensive stuff they sneak more alcohol into the 80 proof label. Work more like a hundred proof.

Wrong. Roast, or even microwaved yams as I originally called 'em down in Loo zee anna are quite tasty mashed and topped with too much butter and salt.

NOPE!

I'd rather eat a dog turd than a fucking sweet tater.

That shit sucks.

Well I suppose there's no accounting for taste. Try mashing some dog turd in with it until you acquire a taste for the yum of yam, maybe?

That would probably make it better.

Gosh damn dude, I honestly don't think anything can make that shit palatable.

Not my thing. Just a thing to avoid... for the rest of my life.

That's how I feel about peas. I understand that there's plenty of people that love them but I can't see how. I don't mind them as split pea soup I don't mind them raw fresh from the garden I don't mind them fresh cooked for no more than two minutes with salt and pepper and eaten before they cool off but anything else and they are completely inedible.

I can eat canned peas because they're basically not peas anymore I'm not sure what they are they don't seem to have any particular character.

With peas, the bigger they are the worse they taste.

Cilantro? Yay, or nay?

Apparently it's a decent litmus test because some people's taste buds experience it as soapy which I don't see it all.

NAY!

Dude.

You get frosted flakes for a year.

Your batting average is going DOWN.

I like my sweet potatoes skinned, sliced into long wedges, coated with oil and seasoning salt and baked until crispy
Cilantro depends on what it's added to, I don't taste it as soapy
And Keto is a fail for me, humans are omnivores and I enjoy that diet

So my story of the week (doesn't affect my house, just phone lines, drive route and popcorn supply in the house). At a nearby intersection used to live an old man in a house with an ancient tree. About 5 years ago the old man left and his greedy family fought over the house forcing it to court and all the legal blah blah blahs. So this valuable house sat empty with no one paying taxes on it or doing maintenance. The city cut the grass and added it to the tax bill, at 3 years the city is also listed with all the others trying to get money out of the estate. It's now been 5 years total, it's still in court, the old tree kept dropping branches on the lines and knocking out power and telephone so the city decides to take it out and just add to the tax bill. They send in a team of summer workers with step by step instructions from an educated office worker. They removed the fence, cut off all the branches leaving a 10 foot stump and then stopped. I thought they were done but the summer kid crew was calling the office and apparently, they refused to remove the stump. Next day other workers show up chain the stump up to a big dozer/digger thing and pull, not considering the root system that tree would have had in it's prime. Long story longer, the valuable house is no longer valuable, road, water lines, and poles are all being replaced at the intersection and apparently, the city's insurance will have to pay for all the damages since it's still in court and their by-laws only allowed them to remove the dangerous branches and not bilk homeowners for unnecessary work like removing a stump that's not dangerous to anyone. I suspect the city and bank are going to win the court case after this mess up and I hope the right persons in an offices somewhere get fired. Also, I applaud the kid crew who knew better than to screw with the old tree stump, they understood that things don't get old without being strong.

Do NOT encourage this type of behavior :(

Feel bad on the rest of the story. And I'm not even Paul Harvey.

Dinner time, NY Strip, bone in, baked potato, and a nice salad.

Edited to add, I didn't have to worry about Cilantro. ;):D

As a friend recently reminded me a political office could screw up a free lunch. So should I pull up a chair and make you some popcorn Wat? They are going to have to repair the foundation damage to the house

It just keeps getting better.

so many things here.
I do like sweet taters, but cilantro tastes like soap to me.
I got just a little sardonic giggle from Endrura's story. and the update. Silly people.

Home!!! Thanks be to Allah.

Today was a W on the jobsite.

Wat is truly the favorite of Allah.

The cats are all out and about. Bed soon.

Cilantro is underrated as verbiage in a Spanish love song.
My bride and I eat at this Mexican place which plays a steady stream of music with words I can't understand, most of it up-tempo.
The change of pace in this one song includes the classic one-word chorus of "Cilantro" yowled plaintively three times.
The pain in the man's voice gives one a momentary pause before that next bite of fish taco.

FukLuk

The guys' standard response whenever he keeps yapping at their feet (99% of his forum activities = trolling other men) should be:
"I don't think so."

'Penisgazer' was another nice touch.

Good morning everyone. Beautiful morning here.

Lots of little shopping runs to make this AM. First stop will be Harbor Freight. Need to pick up a couple of items that I'll never use again so "cheap" is the word of the day. I'll probably also pick up something I "might" need, I always do and I generally end up never needing it. Then some grocery shopping. I hit HF first because nothing they sell requires refrigeration.

Wat's post reminded me to add cat food to the list. I'm not going to tell the cats though, I'm going to let them think I thought of it all by myself.

Inventoried the reloading stash and I need to pick up some bullets and primers for the WinMag. Oddly enough I have plenty of powder. Odd in that that beast goes through powder faster than a Hornworm can go through a tomato plant.

Happy Saturday!!!

The josh is burning for those who need it. I frequently number myself among them.

Slept okay. The cats wanted to get up when I got to pee. I made them wait, so the big one smacked one of the little ones . . . because he could. Hell, it's what they do.

Looking forward to today. Damn good coffee this morning . . . .

Yeah, I need to go shooting.

I need to go riding, too, and I don't have to do much of anything to do that.
