TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

The whole crew is a bunch of goofballs. Just watching them interact can be a hoot.

OoooooKay.

The Tannerite Challenge.

Several trees that are of the same size and need to be felled are selected. Each is painted with a "high water" mark and numbered.

Entrants are each given a measured portion of Tannerite and the means to bag it up and attach it to a tree. The contestants are assigned a tree via a blind draw. Contestants can come back to the judges area and draw another portion of Tannerite if required.

Obviously each contestant is going to pay an entry fee to cover the Tannerite and the prizes. Top three contestants win prizes.

How do you win? Whoever uses the LEAST amount of Tannerite to fell the tree wins.

Note: The "high water" mark is the point above which they cannot attach the Tannerite to the tree.

On further consideration maybe 4x4 posts would work better. No high water mark required or drawing and no one can complain. "His tree was smaller than mine." And given that this could well turn into an annual event there is the possibility of running out of trees.

AND it's something I can do out here too. :D

I like the 4 x 4 post idea. These goobers would like the tree idea better though.

But you are right trees are not infinite

They furnish their own ammo.

Trees would be more dramatic to be certain, but they are finite and can lead to arguments.

Maybe one tree outside the contest for the drama.

I think entry requires a box of ammo. then we'll put it in a pool and divy it up accordingly to the top 3.

Think bigger kiddo. If the kid edits it well you'll need a parking lot next year.

BTW, I think I've figured out a way to getter' done with one shot and less than a half pound. Maybe just a quarter. Assuming a 4x4 that is. Now I'm going to try it out. :D

He'll have figure out how to inconspicuously carry his shootin iron on his HfD. Last I read, he was still working out that lil detail.

Home. Later than expected. There was after-grazing, too. Sweet Frawg. I like that stuff.

We had some visitors from up the road. That was interestin'.

We had a place we'd go shooting years ago where we'd shoot down another pine. They could be deceiving, showing you only a hole in front and having the chunk missing from behind. So you'd waste time on the hole are which wouldn't grow where you could be clearing out bits elsewhere which would get the thing to drop. It was fun while it lasted.

It's finally cooled off some. Off to read . . . .
