Must be a common problem, I saw that the feed store has chicks for sale. That usually is just a spring time thing.

Our feed/farm store has them pretty much year-round.


We're down to four. It's getting late in the year
but I wonder if it might be time to grab a few more.

I had thought it was a little late to be raising chicks, but I've never raised chicks. I've wanted to, but with the coyote and fox population around here, I'd just be feeding them chickens.

Get a Rottweiler puppy, or something similar, and raise it with the chicks. You may have to lock the dog up to collect the eggs though.

Yesterday and this morning we tackled all the outside stuff, everything is pruned, painted, repaired, resealed and whatever other tasks we could safely do on our own. All that's left for this summer is weed control and lawn chairs. There will be bbq tonight if anyone is in the nw quadrant of the GTA

It's fucking hot out there - outside. It is at home, too. I left the a/c cranking for teh kittehz. That gives them sleeping options. The big old cat seems to prefer upstairs pretty much all the time.


It was a mostly pretty drive. Nice day in the mountains, except for the heat. At least it ain't as humid as at home.


I'ma catch up with the Sunday crew directly.

Home/Scrotel13 - back from visiting and grazing. It was a good outing, mostly. The bit that wasn't . . . is over.


I've never been that big a fan of the M21 arrangement, but I'd take one. I'm a bolt gun guy for sniper platforms. The semis have too many moving parts


Tomorrow, we begin Building #211, which is the second one. Make a list and check it twice, like Evil Santa.
