What kind of skis are they? I've never been downhill skiing but I've done a lot of cross country.

What does it mean when you both arrange peeps to bail you out before you go out?

No football here, but the hot tub is full of guys and gf's. The pups are snoozing and my housework is finally done. Grass cutting will wait until tomorrow.

You eat a burger you and many, many hungry non-Hindus take one cow's life.

The yeast-burgers kill innumerous living things. Seems pretty unethical to place your survival above all those other life-forms.

^ Moronic troll.

Relatively short, downhill skis. For moguls.

I forget that cross-country exists. I don't know anyone that does it because at this latitude, you need elevation for snow, and that comes with fairly steep, rocky mountains.

Traversing flat areas on downhill skis is awkward and exhausting. Your heels are locked down so you have to "skate" with them.

I had a buddy once that wanted to use downhill skis to go with us on a 12 mile cross country trail, he didn't even wax them but he did accept my extra set of poles instead of using his lighter weight ones. He thought because he didn't have to manoeuvre it would be an easier workout, he learned a valuable lesson that day. Never make assumptions lol. We have both types of skiing in this area, most of the downhill is a beginner or medium difficulty, there are no expert slopes that I know of within driving distance.

12 MILES on flat ground with downhill skiis?

Even he had never done any cross country skiing at all surely he had to maneuver on flat ground in a lift line or towards a parkinglot.

We have all sorts of skiing out here. Most of it's downhill because of the powder. But there's a fair share of cross-country folks as well. We lose a few downhiller's to tree's every year and a few back country cross-country people to avalanches.

He had never been cross country before and we found out later he had limited experience in downhill skiing. Also snow is different in different areas, so even when you're experienced in one place you may not be in another.

Mont Tremblant but that is a drive for you.

Happy Monday!!!

I coulda hit the snooze, or simply turned off the alarm and wondered how much longer I'd sleep in. Bit I didn't. All that Sense of Responsibility an' shit.

Weather looks kinda damp today, or at least a good chance of it. We'll see, I reckon.

Short one boss this week. He's on vacation.

Well, the dog alarm went off, again, at 4AM.
This time I was ready with the water bottle
and squirted her a snout-full of stfu!
Well, she did. Maybe just a few more applications.

It is open sight with an oversized trigger...

~~ and ~~

the dog allowed me to get to point blank range.
It was, as they say, shooting fish inna barrel.

As long as she shuts up when she sees the bottle

or better yet

when she decides, if I bark, I get the squirt, so

I won't bark...
