Georgia is one of the south states of Ohio. It is just above Florida and next to Alabama. And just cause there's bugs doesn't make it exotic. Not sure if you're talking about the same Georgia. I spent a week in Georgia during the summer and it was really hot and humid outside. That's how it's been feeliing like the past few weeks.
learn your geography, georgia is in the kaukasus! :p

Sorry, but if Geography had been a hell of a lot less boring, I'd probably would have learned about Georgia from Kaukasus. However, U.S.-speaking, my geography is correct. There IS an United State named Georgia.

i know. i learned that i geography class. as i learned about the kaukasus.

else, the interestingness/boringness of geography class varied. i liked it when we discussed such things as the influence of tourism in certain regions, or the positive and negative effects of development aid. i disliked it, when i had to memorize names of various winds or tectonic movements.

and i remember pointing out places on the map without having any idea what they are. later when i actually went there i was often surprised to suddenly find a name i knew from school.

Yeah, what is that shit? If we needed the technical, scientific stuff like that, you'd think we were in an advanced class for our grade. As if every young mind was going to grow up to be a scientist.

Exciting thing happened earlier before the end of my shift. I was moving the fuel pump hoses around and I saw this giant moth that I have never seen before. I went back inside and bought me a disposable camera w/ a flash on it and took like 5 pictures of it. Thought I'd get the best pics I could of it before somebody killed it, although it was rather big for a moth and I doubt anybody would bother with it unless they hit it w/ their vehicle's grill. It was just so alien. Hopefully I'll get the pictures up soon. Need to use the camera for other pictures too. Sorry ladies, no manhood will be publicly displayed. Especially since it's a disposable camera and I can't get it developed publicly... something about the law.

However, I'll get an updated picture of me as well as some cool pictures I may find worth a shot from a $5 camera.

well our system is different. though i don#t see what is scientific about memorizing. i#d rather they had tought us more how things work, how tehy are connected and related to each other and all that...

Lucy! I'm Home!

Okay, I've been home for quite a long while, just thought I'd pop that in there. Anyways, everybody enjoying their summer vacation or something? This thread's been un-postable for a long while. I'm still looking for a better paying job, my second term started on Aug. 2nd and I'm determined to do a lot better this term. I've also got some design programs for the degree program that I'll be working with and hopefully getting proficient at so that I may have a sort of side job or hobby. Apparently, I figured out sometime last week that even though my degree is Game Art and Design, I can use the degree for other types of jobs like Web Site design, Interior Designing, Graphic Design, etc... because of the programs used. Step-cuz may be able to get me a job as the website designer for the fire and rescue dept. he works for... I've noticed quite a few local fire and rescue websites in the area could use a major overhaul from HTML to java, etc. I'm pretty artistic, so I'm sure I could do something. He was throwing out numbers, but he thought I should make the web page up front, sell the material to them for $3,000 w/ a contract deal of $500 a year for upkeep. So, I been doing some studying on money making with web design. It appears to work different ways.

Anyhow, just got off work. Thought I'd post in and work on some homework before hitting the proverbial hay.

Laters!

i am here... still working and all though i plan a two day bike tour tomorrow and tuesday... will have a three week vacation from the 22nd...

Dear Diary:

Upon finishing up my post for the discussion in Lit.'s Discussion Board, I received a phone call. I was asked to go canoeing. I went canoeing all afternoon and really enjoyed it until about 2-3 hours later. I could swear I never wanted to see water again. Not to mention the canoe got water in it and I had to sit in the middle on the bottom due to my weight, so imagine how wet I was. Thankfully the canoe never tipped. I ended up getting burned, despite the sun block.

One of my peeves during the canoeing was not having my hearing aids. I hate being deaf. Myself and the others didn't know sign language so convos were not easy.

Overall, I had fun though.

cool! canoeing must be fun! sorry about the problems with the hearing aid, though... hm, i wonder if there are any tricks or anything? i am sure there are more canoers with hearing aid...

i'd like to try it one day... though i find water one of the scarier elements (unless it is in a swimming pool or a very clear lake... the thing is i get scared when i can't see what might be in there, and i have a very vivid imagination at times).

i went bycicling the last two days... to exercise a bit for my trip to sweden... 70 km yesterday, maybe 80 today... which isn't much by the standards of those that do that more often, but quite a bit for me... thing is my saddle is too high, so i got cramps in my lower calfs, and also it kind of hurts when i pee, now...

Hmm... I bet MyOwn found somebody, must explain why she's more likely just lurking around. Same goes for her b/f's, Gemini and NiceGuy. Come out of the woodworks! This thread needs to be brought back to life!

Don't know about NiceGuy or My, but I have just been busy with work. Working at a third two week camp. Getting annoyed with the kids in this camp. Kids are working everyone's nerves. We are getting at least 700 for this one. Working for that cash. And I have just been lurking on Lit the past couple of weeks.

and I? don't I count?

I just turned 25 two weeks ago...

I couldn't have imagined at a teenager how happy I'd be with my life at this point. When I was 15, ten years ago... I thought I'd be a LEO sharpshooter and some what of a loner.

Ten years later I'm married to a wonderful, beautiful, outgoing southern woman with the most stunning curves you could imagine. I've got an 8 month old daughter that is so damn cute total strangers will walk from a distance away just to admire her. I'm teaching at a local college, I've got a photography business, a beautiful dutch colonial with red oak floors and hand plastered walls that my wife and I remodeled, and I'll hopefully be hired at a school just down the street so I can walk down one of the more scenic roads in our city to work every morning.

There is a pipe stand in my study and a cabinet filled with well aged tobacco and scotch. There is room for my daughter to play, my wife to nest, and for me to stretch out and enjoy those moments of freedom I catch between being Mr.-Mom-The-Professor/Photography/HandMan. We've got an eccentric escape artist of a cat named Annabelle and wonderful neighbors to either side of us. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe, the worst crime commited here in 30 years is theft from a garage (I pulled the police records and marveled at the lack of any real crime.) Did I mention my wife has gorgeous curves?

What more could anyone ask for? Fufilling work, a sensual wife, a beautiful daughter, a sturdy goregous home?

My life turned out infinitely better than I could have imagined.

And in doing all of this, you won the lottery? lol, just messing.

Yep, hitting 23 in October and still not getting anywhere. I'm taking classes though. Somebody tells me I should stick to my low paying job for a few more years because after I turn 24 I should be able to get a free education with hopefully no more to very less loans. Maybe I should have waited til I was 24 to start college... course, that'd been wasted time.

Well, SOME people consider it I was wasting my time. I call it "looking for myself". I wanted to be a cop, but got kicked out of the program at the Tech School 2 weeks in because of my hearing disability. I want to be an author, but there are no guarantees and it's not exactly a steady paycheck. Then I looked at my passions and those are writing, video games, and movies as well as dragons and fantasy. Guess I can still be that
author I want to be, and have a steady job working in the entertainment business.

No wife, no kids, not even a girlfriend, and living with my parents. Already, I'm closer to $10,000 in debt from loans and credit cards. What was I thinking? I guess I wasn't.

Never won the lotto... but if fortune should ever put me in the vicinity of say a drug dealer with alot of cash... I'll make my own personal lotto ;)

About the whole getting carded thing...

I haven't been carded (except for a resort that cared -everyone- even if you had grey hair) since I was in my teens. I think the beard I've had since 2nd grade might have helped with that... jusssst kidding... I was at least 14 when I could grow my first beard.

Um... Wabi Sabi? Is that, like, a trick, to confuse me? Or just a coincidence?
