USS Dark Fire OoC

disodium is one of the substances that "our sensors can penetrate" on star trek. If you beam this in front of a enemy ship it blinds their sensors. Works better if shields are down. It lasts a very short time (few seconds)... but enough for Dark Fire to get away

Hora made this substance on a very early post in the story. To show the bridge team a trick to defeat multiple attacking ships.

As you know... Hora has no clue what the parasites like. But if the parasite agrees she will ask it what it likes.

You can write for Hora... if needed.

Not sure what to write next. Does Captain Jo’vak believe the parasite are real? Does Hora have to vaporize Captain Vogh, to show him the parasite? Did the electricity hurt the parasite? Thanks :)

edited my post, and if you show him parasite out of host (you have plenty from the rabbits) he'll believe you.

FYI... flying so close to the engine wash... it tricky. but McLeo will pull it off.

As you can tell, something unplanned will happen on the scow. A few teams will be dumped into space and McLeo will research them. However, Commander Reeves will need to complete the mission with less teams/people.

I hope that is ok

What did you want to happen to team 2? Should they get captured? Are you ok with Ryn using his "force" abilties? (these are not the droids you are interested in). Also what was the plan, once all the bombs were set? How do you want team 1 and 2 return to USS Dark Fire?

Force power usage is alloweable :)

Dark Fire could transport them aboard once the charges detonate.

or if they get the shield frequency they could be beamed through the shields.

Added some more problems. :)
Commander Reeves might need to blow some charges to drop the intruder force fields... then the freqs Ensign Cook provided might work... or blow all charges and beam out that way.

What do you think the klingon captain will do?
I was planning on Hora and Reeves getting the space station logs (both admirals)... and finding out some good stuff. Any thougths on what that would be?

The First Admiral gave Hora the position to get the dark fire as far away from the station as possible. And she was far enough out of the chain of command that he figured she'd be to stupid to question the promotion. He'd assumed Reeves would mutiny within a month and take over due to her sheer incompetence in the position of captain.

the second admiral was a parasite. he kept no logs nor needed them.

What do you want the "sympathizer" assignment to uncover?

FYI... Hora loves being in command... She also thinks she has been effective against the parasite. She wants to defeat that threat to the federation. But she is not so arrogant to think that someone else might be a better captain. She is wondering if she should turn the ship over to someone that is more qualified.

Sympathizer - not much really. a couple small groups loyal to dead captains and friends. fighting back thinking it's all a trick by Hora. and her attempt to take over the Federation or Starfleet.

Hi you guys, super excited to be joining you :) Here's my character

XIANA MARLOWE
29, HUMAN (EARTH)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapist

APPEARANCE
  • HEIGHT : 5 feet 5 inches, 1.65 m
  • WEIGHT: 133 lbs, 60.3 kg
  • BUILD : Lean with most muscle coming from her legs, as she is an avid runner and traceur
  • HAIR : Platinum blonde
  • EYES : Brown
  • TATTOOS/PIERCINGS/MARKINGS :
    • A poorly executed tattoo on her collarbone of the name HYDRA in someone’s handwriting. She and her three closest friends each have a tattoo for each Antlia-Sextan constellation. She disguises this by wearing garments that cover her chest and neck
    • A scarred tree across her lower back, coming from an incident where she slid down a fence and accidentally caught some barbed wire
BIO
  • Xiana Marlowe was raised by her Texan grandmother after her parents’ death. She was always a problem child, something that followed until her teenage years. Despite her grandmother’s attempts to guide her only grandchild, she dropped out of high school and filled her afternoons with either working part-time or helping her four closest friends with breaking and entering; she had very sturdy hands that made slipping into tracks or undoing old locks easy. After her grandmother’s death shortly after turning eighteen, she increased her participation in thievery and scamming with her group, especially since she was quick on her feet.
  • She grew talented enough to live comfortably by exploiting citizens who didn’t know better and the occasional heist. She normally enjoyed the challenge, until an attempt went wrong and resulted in one of her friends accidentally murdering someone. The aftermath of said event, which she barely managed to get out of without a charge, kickstarted her desire for a new life. She finished her basic education and pursued a career in psychology.
  • Aside from willing all her sympathy into her sessions, she normally keeps to herself, not wanting to attract any attention or establish more relationships than necessary. It typically works in her favor, as most people assume she is just an introvert. It makes things easier on the professional end as well, considering fewer people probing her means there’s less of a chance that they’ll look into her history.
  • She has wished to explore some day with leisure but now lives in her fantasies by being employed in ships. As a child, she wished that she could one day maneuver a personal ship of her own, but knew better than to be unrealistic.
  • She is heterosexual, although she has experimented with other genders.

Thank you! I know I’m waiting for a proper intro, but is there anything you feel I should know so far on dynamics/your characters?

I have been trying to follow the personality I wrote up for Hora (see below). Your character can figure out she is a Impulsive and Adventurous Personality type. She is more impulsive, sensation-seeking, and adventurous leading to more risk taking.

Also as an Orion she has a very strong sex drive. But as captain, she is not getting much sex. That is kind of a problem for her.

Personality:
Hora is a real character; she wants nothing more than to enjoy life. She is a naturally playful and happy person, and not much gets her down for long. Her world is a fun place—she is not naive, but rather chooses to see the humorous in things. She's very easygoing about things and comes across as genuinely warm, charming, and friendly, which happens often since she deeply enjoys personal interaction (which she does with a lot of laughing, flirting, physical touching, and eye contact).

As much as she likes to talk and laugh with others, she is actually very closed about her internal world and background, and she always finds a slippery way to change that subject. Cultural norms don't play an important role for her, except that she enjoys breaking them—not because she enjoys chaos, but simply because she thinks most rules are uselessly restrictive. This is one reason why she frequently engages in pranks and practical jokes, to shake things up and "punish" people who are too serious.

She is a very erotic creature, largely because she finds flirting and sex to be fun. She can be brazen in her sexual expression, although she knows when to turn it off.

Character Bio/History: Hora is somewhat an outcast in star fleet. She is smart and capable, but many people think she has used her beauty and Orion female pheromones to get ahead. As a result, she went into the science field, where she mainly worked with computers, not people.
