I could've, but I pretty much want it set before or after the events of the show...so no Lilah, or Lindsey, or Harlan Manners, or Angel for that matter.

inspiration for my evil vampire foursome group thread idea I was going to offer Rider and I think I'll also offer a role to Luna since she really enjoyed playing an evil vampire in the thread Dark Temptation we did.

And Luna said she had lots of fun as Lillith in Dark Temptation so I thought I could build a thread idea based off of the buffy fangsome foursome. (Angelus, Darla, Spike, Drusilla)

And as much as I love the character I was going to offer you the angelus-like character, and the Dru-like character to Luna...depending on how crazy Luna would like to play rather than out and out wicked evil. So I'd play the spike-like character.

I was also considering offering Asa the Darla-like character (though I know she says she won't do group threads anymore)...that or Yeishia she seemed like she had fun as an evil vamp in my Van Helsing group thread.

I was also considering whether to have either a vampire slayer-more like Holtz than Buffy-or a the Master-like character to provide them with external conflict.

Anyway if you come up with any great ideas plotwise for it don't hesitate to tell me about it here

Well first of all if you've seen either the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer or its spinoff series Angel you'll know. But check it out on Wiki, by all means...

That's another thing: how close do we want these characters to be based off the originals? ....Need to consider that?

Watched Buffy the entire time it was on TV...so I do have a basis for the way Dru should be played...(At least in my head...she would be Malkavian through and through...a sadistic, cutesy little girl type Malkavian...excuse me~my geeky Vampire the Masquerade gamer genes are showing)

As for how close to the original should we get? If we are doing fanfic? As closely as possible is my thinking...if we are taking them just as templates and expanding the universe a bit...than not so close....

I'm good with either fanfic or templates. It might take me a bit to really get Angelus right if we do fan fic, but I'm pretty sure I can get him. It's more nailing the humor just right.

As to external conflict, Vampire Master is a cool thought, as is a Holtz like character. Though if you wanted to toss in a true Whedonesque twist you could have the Master using Holtz to take out vampires he thinks are a threat or who wont fall in line. Save the actual reveal of course, but that kind of an interaction could allow Holtz to keep up with the vampires despite just being human.

Know precisely how you feel, Yeishia. Writing posts has been like pulling sore teeth for me lately. I may need a vacation to get my mojo back.

As for the thread, even if Asa decides to do it, we may have a role for you among the antagonists. For plot purposes I was planning on playing both the Master and the vampire hunter, but they'll need someone to plot and scheme with. It may work out better since you've never seen the tv show and the role will be more like Mina Harker in the Van Helsing Group than any character in a show you haven't seen.

One thing though I'd like us to use shorter posts for this. That way we can maximize a clever back and forth between characters in dialogue and interaction, and emulate my favorite part of the show.

Asa is currently considering the part of the Darla-like character.

Luna, hearing you say that, as a fellow V:tM geek & Buffy fan, I could kiss you if you managed it. Hell, I'd kiss you anyway. Yes, Dru is the perfect Malk. Just like the Master is a Nosferatu. Though the jury's out over Angel(us) - Toreador or Ventrue? My money's on Ventrue.

Veroe it is very nice of you to offer to create a small part for me in your latest venture if Asa decides to take Darla. It is simply unnecessary as I know I was simply an afterthought and have no problem with that. Rider had asked me if I would be interested and of course I said yes. I felt ready for something different with new writers.

I am familiar with the Buffy series I have watched it, but confess that was was a long time ago. I must also confess I have only watched a few of the Angel series simply because I did not care for the actor who portrayed Angel, Spike was my Vamp..

When I took over the role of Bella on another site I had never even seen the movie. In consequence I read every single one of the books written and both of the movies so that I could get inside of her head, I would do nothing less for your concept. Thank God for Netflix!

I think however upon reflection and upon reading M13’s impassioned post ahead of me, if I did not become a cast member that you would have no problem whatsoever in persuading him to join your thread. He would be a valued addition of this I am 100% sure, he like the rest of you knows his stuff.

I laughed when you mentioned the length of posts required, short posts? Moi ? highly un-lightly *laughs again* I am not very good at short, lounge type posts, even in the lounges *blushes*. I am trying. If my posts are long it is simply because they need to be. Trust me shorter would mean faster production of my threads. I will do my very best to shorten my posts little bit in LP, but do not hold your breath Veroe.

Anyway I look forward to reading what the group comes up with for I am sure it will be a lot of fun. You seem to have an awesome group of writers lined up.

OH hell~*grins* I can do Malkie...my fave character (that I created) is an 8th gen Sabbat Malkie (Heh heh heh). Angelus...definite Sabbat Toreador. I mean think on it...he drove Dru CRAZY and THAT was his masterpiece!!

Asa...would be so cool to have a chance to write with you. And I do believe we would be using those four as basic templates. Taking what we know and expanding upon it to the best of our abilities. In the cases of most here (not counting me) that should be easily done.

(Myself? I wanna see how Rider does with Angelus... and just how awesome Veroe would be as Spike~like...*delighted shiver*)

Marauder, would you be interested in the thread. I know you don't do many group threads, but damn it recruiting a RPer of your exceptional calibre is a hard thing to pass up if there's a chance you'll say, yes.

As for those that have expressed interest already...we have character ideas/templates...what I'm hanging up on is the plot or the start of the plot. I was thinking of the foursome returning to the Master-like characters castle, mansion, or lair (whatever) for a visit as the start but that strikes me as kinda weak. So...I'm asking all you brilliant people how will we kick this thread off? Any ideas?

Think I'll use this one for the master-like character.

He'll be the oldest living vampire in the world and whenever I think of someone that old my brain automatically goes to Methos from Highlander...that and I believe Asa has a crush on Mr. Wingfield here.
