I was rereading an old thread I was in and found a post I was quite proud of that I would like to file here.

IC: Harrison

“Tara, please run to my penthouse and grab a pair of slacks from the spare room closet.” Lana told the waitress and she was off heading for the room in question.

Lana took his arm then. It made him flinch as her touch electrified nerves shooting through his arm and down rousing the exhausted body-part once again. He needed to regain his sense of distance and professionalism. She was too close to allow that to happen.

She led him to an empty room, and left him to go into the suite's bathroom. soon the “The shower is on, Tara will be here in a few moments.”

Harrison watched her from the other side of the room as she thankfully kept a distance from him. She was in bad shape. The sexual charge she got from him had her so horny it was practically a palpable heat coming from him. He could practically hear the throbbing of her clitoris like sledgehammers in his ears beating to the cadence of....It's been too long...It's been too long...It's been too long...Take me...Take me...Take me!

Harrison had to shake himself out of such thoughts, or he'd lose everything that he and Lilly had together with some cheap fling just because he was too weak to deny his own animal nature.

“There is an emergency call button right between the shower and toilet if there’s any need for assistance.” She said heading for the door before stopping to look back once more. “Do you need anything else?"

"No, I'll be fine after a shower and some sleep."

Then Tara returns pants in her arms. “Oh, sorry boss! Here is the pants.”

“Tara can you stay with Harrison until he is stable? You can call me at any time on my cell if I am needed, or if he needs something just ring.” With that Lana hurries out the door.

It left him and Tara alone. He took the pants and headed into the bathroom to find the shower on and soothingly warm. He closed the door on Tara and began to undress. Once he was done he cracked the door to hold out the soiled clothes for her. "See what you can do for these, alright?"

Tara took them saying, "Mr. Harrison I am sorry..."

"I know, I know," He nodded, "And...I forgive you."

Tara smiled then nodded at that asking, "Do you need anything else?"

"No, I'll be fine now."

Tara left to see what could be done with Harrison's suit while he stepped into the shower and let the hot water sluice down over him. He was alone now, blessedly alone. Alone with only his memories to keep him company.

Hong Kong, Sept. 18th 1920

Harrison limped into their room to find his wife naked in their bed. Lilly lay there her skin practically glowing and a stupid grin on her face. Beside her the bedsheets were mussed and the pillows askew. And the scents of sex and another man was still thick in the air. That son of a bitch didn't even have the decency to try and cover up what he and Lilly had been doing.

"Harrison," She said, "You're finally up. Did Dr. Hu say you can be up and about?"

"Fuck Dr. Hu," He growled, "And Fuck Talon, and Fuck you!"

"Hmm," She said sitting up so the sheet slipped down revealing her ample breasts to the cool night air. Harrison watched as her nipples began to harden from the chill. "Hopefully you won't do that in that specific order." She held out a hand for him, "Come here, lover. I've missed you."

"Why," Harrison groused, "Didn't you have enough with Talon. It certainly sounded like he satisfied you."

She laughed-laughed, "I was thanking him for not killing you." She then looked at him seriously, "Really, Harrison, what were you thinking. Attacking Talon right out in the street like that. You're lucky he likes you."

"Yeah, lucky me." Harrison remembered the fight all too easily. The swings of his fists that only connected with empty space Talon had been in only a split-second before. The open hand of Talon using only an insulting fraction of the man's strength like a feather-light brush yet enough to bruise skin and break bones. He had spent three weeks in bed wrapped in bandages in splints listening to Lilly and that son of a bitch.

"You know I'm not a monogamous woman, Harrison. When we met I was a whore, and it wasn't for lack of money," She said leaning back and giving him that come here look he had always found irresistable. "You've never had a problem about my flings before."

"This is different," He growled, "He's different to you."

She rolled her eyes, "Talon will always be different to me, Harrison. He's always been my own knight in shining armor, my own Vampiric D'Artagnan. He rescued me from my domineering sire and he saved me from that abusive bastard, Robbespierre in the war."

"If I had been alive back then I would have saved you from all that."

"My point is Talon and me had a relationship once, but it's not now," She got up wrapped her arms around him. "Our relationship is more than me and Talon ever had. Sure I fuck him whenever we cross paths, but it won't ever be more than that. He wants it to be more but I left him and I'll do it again. I value my freedom too much. A freedom he gave me, a freedom I reserve for you, and you alone, my husband."

"I just don't like that pompous asshole, and I never will."

"He's not that bad." She said with a laugh, "Now do that thing with your tongue again. That is unless Talon broke that too."

His arms wrapped around her holding her close ignoring the pain from his still healing ribs. "I love you, Lilly. Forever. Just you and you alone."

"And if I suddenly decided to leave you like I left Talon."

"Don't even joke about that."

"I'm serious, my love," She said, "Promise me that if I'm gone for whatever reason you'll find a good and beautiful woman to love again."

"I...I can't do that."

"We will work on it." She said with a smile knowing Harrison would never be able to deny anything she asked of him-not for long. "Now show me how much you've healed up."

They kissed then. Three weeks seperated by a doctor and old boyfriends gone in one moment of brief contact. She pulled back with a breathless sigh and a giggle, "I swear, my love, if I could tie you down and make love to you all day every day I would."

-----------------------------------------------x

"Promise me that if I'm gone for whatever reason you'll find a good and beautiful woman to love again."

Harrison leant against the shower wall. The water had gone cold. He was alone with his memories...the only thing he had left of the only woman he would ever love.

IC: Harrison

At long last Harrison had climbed out of the shower, and now he stood looking at himself in the mirror above the sink. he wondered why he had gone on after Lilly's death. She was a wound that would not heal-should never heal. So why didn't he just end it all right now. He'd be reunited with his beloved Lilly then...so what kept him alive thirty years after receiving that mortal wounding of seeing his love, his wife dead.

There was one answer, the same answer he'd had these past thirty years. The answer that motivated him to get out of bed each morning and face the world that was a cold and bleak place without Lilly in it.

Hong kong Sept. 19th 1920

Harrison carefully negotiated down the steps of their little townhouse wincing as every step caused a twinge of pain in his hip. It was worse this morning than it had been in weeks-of course he hadn't been giving it the rest and light activity Dr. Hu had proscribed for him over the night-Lilly had seen to that again and again. That woman was insatiable.

Finally he made it to the First floor. If he hurried he could leave, fetch some blood, some food, and return before sunrise and to Lilly's enthusiastic mercies.

"Good morning Harrison," A voice came from the room to one side of the stairs. He turned to see a man at a table with bottles of liqour some open and empty some yet to be opened. To one side was Dr. Hu slumped over in his chair face flat on the table a puddle of drool forming underneath the snoring chineese man and a shot glass turned over on the floor. And across from Dr. Hu at the table was Talon.

Harrison straightened up and that soreness in his hip flared up again as if responding to the man that was responsible for its existence.

Talon nodded at the unconscious Chineese doctor, "He thought some Tantric technique he learned a couple years ago would enable him to match the endurance of a vampire with bloodpoisoning due to the absorption of Alcohol-or maybe it was a Zen technique-I can't really remember which. Anyway I offered to assist him in an experiment to verify how well the technique actually worked."

"I take it," Harrison said glancing back to the good doctor as he began mumbling something about his mother in Mandarin before resuming the low drone of a good snoring, "The technique wasn't what it was cracked up to be."

Talon nodded, "Absolute failure. And now I find myself drinking alone, which I generally find depressing." He gestured to an empty chair. "Care to join me."

Harrison shook his head, "You come here like you own the place..."

"Actually I do, technically," Talon interrupted, "I bought this house for the good doctor's grandfather long ago. I've been a friend to his family even longer. If anyone doesn't belong here its you and Lilly."

"Why is it I can't spend three minutes talking to you without wanting to take a swing at you?"

"I wouldn't recommend it, boy, compared to me you're little more than a toddler just learning to walk." Talon grinned though his eyes showed a dangerous gleam to them that said he'd enjoy beating Harrison into something resembling ground beef again. "Beleive it or not I was lenient to you before. If you had tried that in my city I'd have had to kill you just to maintain my power base."

"Yeah, don't think I hadn't thought of that in the last few weeks as my bones knitted," He looked at the front door of the house, "Look I have to get going. Lilly is hungry and the sun's almost up."

"She can wait," Talon said pointing at the empty chair, "Sit."

Harrison glowered at the man but took the chair grumbling, "Yes 'your royal majesty'."

Talon picked up a nearly empty bottle, "A one hundred year old scotch. The doctor considers himself a connessiuer of Western liqours. Personally I've had better but this is just fine after the second or third swallow." He poured them both a small amount.

Harrison looked at the glass of scotch and then back to Talon. "This is not really about sharing a drink with you, Talon. What do you really want to talk about?"

Talon smiled before taking a long pull from his glass of scotch. "What do we have in common Harrison?"

"Lilly," Harrison nodded his suspicions confirmed.

Talon nodded.

"Look," Harrison gearing himself for another fight-well another beating really-but he wasn't about to concede his wife to this son of a bitch or anyone, "I know you want her back..."

"She doesn't want me, not that way, not the way she wants you," Talon said looking into the dark liquid in his glass, "And believe me it takes alot for me to admit that."

"But you and she...all the time I was healing..."

"That was us making love just for old time's sake," He shook his head, "I'm the one person in this world she shows her pain to, Harrison, and soon she'll have you for that. I remind her of the bad things she doesn't really know how to deal with. All the things in her past that has happened to her and I've had to rescue her from."

"I know she's bearing some wounds," Harrison confirmed, "She has nightmares some times...says things...but she won't talk to me about them."

"She clings to the trappings of a whore, like it was a suit of armor and shows very few people the woman underneath." He said filling his glass with the last of the scotch, "Those wounds, that pain, me: it's all part of who she was-the past. You can give her a path to the woman she can be-the future, understand."

"You're giving her up?"

"It wasn't an easy decision to make." He said taking another pull on the scotch.

Harrison took a moment sizing up the man. "No, I don't imagine it was."

Talon gestured at Harrison's glass, "You haven't touched your glass."

Harrison took it and brought it to his lips, "Shall we make a toast?"

Talon raised his glass, "To Helen of Troy and the men who loved her."

Harrison met the glass noting that he knew the one character in all the vast examples of literature that Lilly personally identified with. Helen of Troy a woman so irresistable and so star-crossed she brought conflict and doom wherever she went-just like Lilly.

The glasses chinked together and they drank to the toast.

"That was good whiskey," Harrison said putting the glass down.

"Shame on you cowboy," Talon laughed, "You can't tell fine scotch from that swill they drink in the saloons of the west. Lilly has grown lax in your education."

"Whiskey is whiskey." Harrison shrugged.

"Then try this one on for size," He said handing Harrison an unopened bottle with a label he did not recognize. It said simply Ver'idian number 01.

"What is it," Harrison asked feeling something about the contents of the bottle like the tingle he got at the base of his spine whenever Lilly approached him.

"It's a new drink from a Succubus I've known for some time. It has a sample of her power within it. It's supposed to be a real kick in the ass."

"It has her power inside...How is that possible?" He said.

"If Lana would tell me I'd tell you," Talon shrugged, "Give it a shot I'm interested in seeing how it'll effect you."

"So does this mean we're friends now," Harrison said opening the bottle and pouring himself a glass.

"I suppose it does," Talon nodded, "But let me make it clear right now, Harrison, if you hurt her I'll fucking kill you and it won't be quick or painless."

"Got it," Harrison raised his glass, "To friendship then." He took a good sized drink of Ver'idian number 01, and began to realize it wasn't like any liqour he had ever had before.

--------------------------------------------x

The truth was he did have something to go on living for. Talon could be a pain in the ass sometimes-okay he was a pain in the ass most of the time, but he had been a true friend since that september morning in Hong Kong, and his mission, his city had become Harrison's reasons to go on since that night in the Mojave.

He owed it to the man too. Talon had trusted him to protect Lilly from the demons within her and he had failed miserably...as a result of that failure Lilly had been driven crazy and died.

despite what had happened between Lana and him the fact was Talon had entrusted her safety and freedom with Harrison, and here he was letting down the only friend he had left-again.

He gritted his teeth and began to dry off telling himself, "Harrison, you've got work to do so quit moping around." Once that was done he slipped into the pants Tara had given him, and picked up his trusty blackberry and punched in a number.

Something Lana had told him bothered him. "Hello Ruiz," He said as a voice answered out of the phone, "This is technically illegal but Talon would consider it a favor if you could look up the phone records of Lana Veri'idian. No, no, after this Talon would consider the debt for saving your life square. Ruiz, just hack into the phone company and get the information. Email me when you're done."

Hey Veroe!

Just wanted to say thanks for posting all the great pics. Several times I have 'stolen' a couples image that I really liked, and texted it to my GF during the day, with a few sexy words of my own. It always gives us a few ideas of our own.

Cheers!
and Happy Holidays!
