An action/adventure sword and sorcery style romance.
Set in a fantasy world. Two mercenaries making a living out on the frontier of the twelve kingdoms. An ancient evil is awakening and moving among the shadows its emmissary starts strife and war between the kingdoms as Orc hordes not seen for thousands of years since the days of the grand alliance ravage the frontierlands.
My cowriter's character will be an Amazon warrior banished by the Amazon's Queen and high priestess over internal politics. Now she struggles to make a living selling her skills with a sword and bow to the one with the most gold, hoping one day she may be permitted to leave the lands dominated by boorish crude men and return to live among her sisters in the valley of the amazons.
My character will be a distant prince of a long-ago conquered kingdom. His people scattered without a leader. He's a brash and reckless warrior, but of a bold and generous heart. He's a braggart and crude and a womanizer though, everything about men Amazons are raised to detest in them.
The two of them will be drawn together by the pace of epic events and eventhough personality wise they don't get along at all, a sexual tension and an odd volatile romance begins to form as they range over the frontier and civilized kingdoms trying to alert their leaders to the shadowed enemy threatening to wipe all of life from the land.

Blood and Silk
Academic Jason Wallace is spending the summer in Romania researching historical superstitions for his PhD. While he is tracing local folktales, one subject sparks his imagination, and invades his dreams in particular. Her name Soraya, whose tales predates Dracula. Pre-christian Romania's most seductive and powerful Vampire supposedly staked in the first century BC. Now in the ruins of a ancient crypt, Jason discovers the legends are real. His blood has awakened her. His innocence arouses her. But Jason unleashes more than Soraya's dark hungers.
Now to become whole and free to walk the world again Soraya needs the rest of her awakerner's-Jason's blood, every last drop, though she always did enjoy playing with her food first. So each night she comes to him to take just a little more.
Vampires of the modern world will go to any lengths to keep Soraya from claiming her bloodright, dominion over them all, something only accomplished with the death of Jason Wallace before Soraya can drink the rest of his life's blood.
And the ancient order of vampire slayers that had staked Soraya millenia ago has amassed in full number to put an end to what they could not in the ancient past-finally and forever slay Soraya. They have sworn to help Jason, though as a last resort-they will kill him before Soraya can attain her full strength from him.
Jason seeks to entrap her offering his blood and his body as bait. Though drawn to her caught between desire and dread Jason struggles to decide whether to save the world and slay her or give in to his attraction to her and succumb-if just for one last night of Blood and silk.
