AI needs to be restrained through existing copyright and likeness laws. If AI "writes" a song without permission, and has a dead singer "sing" it, then the singer's estate is entitled to ALL of the proceeds, including those monies which were used to support the data center and electronic costs, PLUS DAMAGES from the person who used AI to create the infringing work. Same with written works, if AI is used to "complete" a book written by an author, the author's estate is entitled to the money, plus the same type of damages.
BTW, most of the publishing agencies now have notices that they don't accept AI created works no matter whose name is on the cover.
Once you take all the money out of the use of AI for intellectual property, it'll stop being used that way.
